Treatment for Osteoporosis
Is anyone taking Teriperatide for osteoporosis of the spine? Are you living in the UK? How many fractures do you have? I have refused Alendronic acid because of side effects - Osteo necrosis of the jaw, principally. Phyllis Wilson

Billing for Infusions
Does anyone know how the price of Zoledronic Acid is affected by whether it is given in a rheumatology practice's infusion center versus picked up by the patient at a pharmacy and given at a doctor's office? My rheumatologist says I may have to pick up infusion medication if I need to take it. She is

Additional meds from my GP?
Hi Everyone, First to say I am pleased to have just about survived the first Mothering Sunday since my wife Sue's death. Not only the Mum of our lovely 3 kids, but she 'mothered me' too, and I miss it - (as our youngest kindly commented on my Fbook "You were her biggest challenge Dad!!). Also pleased

Interesting comparison of different amino acids in different meats
I saw something recently that said beef is better than lamb for PD. Why is that? There is a difference in the amino acids. Could one of them be the cause either because it is higher or lower in beef? Pork was also worse. Chicken good I think? But they do look quite similar. What else would cause one

The end of Parkinson's as we know it today. From the Levodopa era to the "transformative" information era.

The changes over time in the way the disease is viewed, the possible treatments and everything that makes up the world of Parkinson's (multinationals, neurologists, associations

Salmon Protein Hydrolysate
New study below [1]. Anyone here using
Salmon Protein Hydrolysate
? FWIW: "A growing body of evidence implicates iron dysmetabolism in prostate cancer progression. A bioactive peptide-rich salmon protein hydrolysate (SPH) has previously been demonstrated to modulate iron homeostatic mechanisms.

Really bad DEXA scan result
Hi folks, I've not posted in a while but have used the time wisely - more about that later. You may remember I was being railroaded into a Zoledronic acid infusion without having a DEXA scan first-the GP insisted I'd need the infusion anyway after being on high dose Prednisolone for more than a year
