Update on Brochiectasis and Candida.
I was rather apprehensive as the 750mg
Cipro
was my rescue drug and it has made me feel nauseous in the past but hoping I will tolerate the lower dose better. He kept the 'meatier' of the 2 samples for analysis and will contact me if it throws up anything of note.

Bronchiectasis and struggling!
I'm at home right now with pseudomonas and on
Cipro
....no side effects, yet. I have bronchiectasis but have been pretty well for a few years...lots of mucus...but no real infections. This year has been awful...this is my 3rd lot of ant since November ...and it's making me a bit concerned.

New anxiety with pred reduction
Doc prescribed 5 days of antibiotic
Cipro
. Tests for parasites and bacteria negative. Stool better but not completely. About 10 days later I had lightheadedness and generally felt unwell, thirsty, around this time new anxiety/panic symptoms and very aware of heartbeat, even when lying down.

Levator Ani Syndrome or PNE?
The stinging at the tip of the penis sounded like prostatitis to him, and I was given 2 weeks of
cipro
. The antibiotics made my IBS 5 times worse, leading to insane bloating, pressure, constipation, and somewhere during those 2 weeks I had an anal fissure.

Update
She did concur that it’s looking extremely likely that bod has developed resistance to
cipro
, though, given her repeated lack of clinical response when growing this particular strain, which is something our old team refused to entertain despite the lab results also showing resistance.

Probably worth the read- fluorquinolones
It is likely
Cipro
has caused my AF and maybe magnesium and collagen supplements are changing the symptoms for the better, which I am experiencing. My Scenar devices may be helping as well. Health is such a varied thing with so many influences.

Prostate cancer or prostatitis?
He went back, another DRE normal and he was put on
cipro
for a month. The pain is not as bad but it is still pretty painful. His pain used to be all day and now it's not so bad for most of the day but in the early evening it starts up.

Any bright ideas? (Bit of a vent too!)
The 11yo has cf (chronic pseudo since age 4) and is on 4 monthly elective IVs, and was discharged following a *mostly* planned admission at the end of Feb that included positive culture at the start for the usual PA as well as a ‘new’
cipro
and mero resistant PA.

The last one showed it was growing in
Cipro
but that didn’t work at all for me.

PSA and CT
I am on
cipro
now which will hopefully finally get rid of the UTI. I have an appointment in a couple of days for both a CT (uroscan) and cystoscopy. Hopefully the UTI will be over and I can get a representative PSA test at the same time.
