Saw Consultant yesterday and he is convinced that I do not have a Candida infection. I took two samples of mucus with me and showed him the difference between them. He wasn't convinced at all by the mention of scanty candida in report - that could happen any time occasionally. BUT he did acknowledge I do have an infection so I'm now on Ciprofloxacin 500mg twice daily for 10 days. I was rather apprehensive as the 750mg Cipro was my rescue drug and it has made me feel nauseous in the past but hoping I will tolerate the lower dose better. He kept the 'meatier' of the 2 samples for analysis and will contact me if it throws up anything of note. Not as painful as I anticipated!

I hope the cipro helps you without any undesirable side effects 🤞
Good luck with that. The problem with reactions to ABs is they often do not show until you have finished the course.
I was wrongly prescribed it as it is in the same family as Septrin, to which I am allergic, so sadly it made my problem even worse. Hope you do well on it.
