I have Pseudomonas colonies, but I have Bronchiectasis. You might get some suggestions from others with Bronch who also have Pseudo, on the BLF group on here. Good luck.
Sadly its one of the bugs that is really hard to eradicate. When ive had ivs its great for a few days then i can feel it comming back. I now nebulize colomycin twice a day and live in hope that a permanant cure is found soon.
I have been to a naturopath about my Bronchiectasis and pseudomonas who suggested a diet with no sugars (which feed the bacteria), no yeast (ditto), no wheat, no wine (but sprits and fizzy ok!) and no dairy. I have been doing this way of eating for about 5 weeks and I have to say I am coughing less and , I have so much more energy I am living ‘normally’ and not in bed in the afternoon and am waiting for the test in my sputum but am expecting it to be clear! I would recommend to anyone to have a diet sorted as I am getting back to my pre-pseudo self! Planning on starting to exercise next week! I am happy to share her details if you are interested 😁👍💪🏼
Sorry to read that, it's a nasty bug. I do believe it can linger although I had it about 5 years ago and hit it hard with big dose of Cipro with good result.
I was investigated for the fungus which in my case was suspected to be Aspergillosis but not conclusive.
If I was in your shoes I would be taking supplements such as Vit E, D, C and zinc together with fish oil. I would also be trying to keep lungs clear and exercising as much as possible, getting sunshine and staying hydrated. I would also be eating what they call super foods, to boost immunity . I would be meditating (improves immunity) and avoiding stress.
I do all that and last year I wasnt ill at all and I have bronchiectasis and asthma. Good luck and hope you get the bugs under control. I am aware of people who have managed to live well with pseudomonas under control. GF
