PSA dropped to 3.9 this month after rising to 4.3 from the 3.8 two months ago
After the scare last month, I added 1000mg of Metformin to the daily 2gms, doubled the daily Lipitor and Casodex. Maybe the PSA was just an outlier. Still doing IF and CBD oil. Gonna add DIM and Nattokinase this time and check again. Did a 5k race and got a great view of the Queen Mary. I came in 3rd

Long Overdue Update
I’ve been hiding from this site because sometimes I feel like I’m already drowning in cancer. Yet, I find whenever I post I have received useful information, kind support, and I hope pieces of our experience may benefit others. We are nearing 2 years since my husband was diagnosed. Advanced Metastatic P C with a PSA of 1.2?
At the time of diagnosis, 29May19, the PSA was only 2.14. I've had Casodex and a 6 month shot of Lupron. This week the PSA is down to 1.2. Is there any significance to having an aggressive Prostate Cancer despite having a low PSA? Ten years ago my PSA was 1.5, five years ago it was 2.1. Biopsy: "FINAL

Gleason score without prostate biopsy
My dad has stage four PC with bone and spinal mets. He’s on Casodex and Lupron. Seeing his urologist again next week. Does he need an oncologist too? Can we get a Gleason if the Doctor doesn’t want to do a biopsy of prostate. It has been classified as adenocarcinoma. So many questions.... what else should

Next line of treatment: too many options
Hello all, I would be so grateful for some advice or thoughts on my dad's situation. He's 70 y/o, diagnosed metastatic PC in March 2018, with numerous mets to many bones. We were caught off guard--he was (and still is) physically feeling pretty well. At its highest, PSA was 56. He's being treated by

Update on Lymph Node Metastatic Prostate cancer
Today, I had bloodwork, CT Scan, Bone Scan, and Chest Xray. First, my PSA is down from 0.17 on Feb 28 to 0.1 today, a decrease by 41%. Previously, my PSA was 4.48 at the start of Casodex and Lupron in Nov '18. It went down by 96% by end of Feb '19. Should my PSA gone down to undetectable by now? The

RO said 6-12 months
My dad finished radiation a couple days ago and his RO (I was not present) told him he probably has 6-12 months to live, and maybe another 6 months with chemo. I am shocked that he gave such a short time. He did say this was palliative radiation for the prostate and bone mets to his hip and pelvis.
