Casodex, Colonoscopy and the PSA

hey there, good people.

this tuesday, i will have my colonoscopy. assuming that goes well with no issues, i will call my RO to set up a date to begin HDR brachytherapy. this past monday, my MO started me on 50mg of casodex. my RO says take it for two months and in between time they'll monitor me to see how my body is reacting to it. now let me get to why i'm here.

1.) with the colonoscopy going up my rectal area, what type of impact will that have on my PSA?

2.) also, if i feel no noticeable symptoms while taking the casodex, does that mean the medicine is not working?

1) wait 2 days

2) no - side effects can take a while - some men have worse, some better. but it's a good idea to take 10 mg/day tamoxifen with it to prevent gynecomastia

Effect on PSA nil to temporary rise. Don't get a PSA test for 72 hrs. I have no experience with Casodex. Happy trails.
