Cholurso

I live in Glasgow and I am having difficulty getting my prescription filled for Cholurso 250mg all local pharmacy’s saying supply issue anyone else experiencing this ?

A couple of weeks ago my consultant put me on Cholurso tablets 3 x 500mg per day. I started with one tablet after my evening meal and had no problems at all. Then after a week I tried having two tablets after my meal.

From the start I was on Ursofalk but this month the prescription I have just collected is Cholurso. Are they all the same and it’s just a generic name from a manufacturer? Should I stay on the exact same brand that I’ve been on or is it okay to switch if that’s what’s currently available?

please please can someone help I’ve been struggling as in choking on ursonorm capsules 5 a day and I’ve rang the dr this morning she’s changed them to ones called cholurso ursodeoxycholic acid tabs 250mg, I have goitre in my throat which I believe is not helping the problem, I’m due to start these new

I’ve just collected my prescription and I’ve been given Cholurso. I’ve been successfully on Ursofalk since diagnosis in 2014. The active ingredients are the same but the tablet core and coating are different. Has anyone else changed manufacturers? Any issues with the new formulation?

I am taking 1000mg of Cholurso daily and gaining weight despite reducing calorie intake and increasing exercise. Is this a side effect of Cholurso?

Iv now started on Cholurso which I believe is the cheaper version of Urso and have been itching like mad. Does this calm down eventually ?

Should I ask for just the Cholurso or have people had no problems on Ursofalk?

I used to Ursofalk 500mg and now it's Cholurso 500mg. I asked pharmacist about it and was told this is a generic brand now and not the original makers of urso and it is cheaper for nhs and should not affect me in any other way. Have others noticed a change when moving to a generic brand of urso?

Hello I was taking Ursofalk after being diagnosed 4 months ago, dosage 750mg When picked up repeat prescription received another brand of urso called Cholurso.
