Coaxing the adrenals back into life / tapering off Celecoxib
Others have advised me of the downsides of
Celecoxib
and, having been on it, for 2 years, I would like to stop. Some questions:1) Tapering of
Celecoxib
- has anyone else done this? Any suggestions on the tapering approach?

He is on slow release MST, paracetamol and
Celecoxib
with topping up with Oromorph as necessary. He feels that he is worsening rapidly. This is one cruel disease.

Implications of butyrate and its derivatives for gut health and animal production 2018
Butyrate has also been shown to enhance the effects of anticancer drug therapy including vincristine,
celecoxib
, cisplatin, and etoposide via its HDI activity, increasing the cytotoxicity of the drugs (Ramos et al., 2004, Kang et al., 2012, Maruyama et al., 2012).

Use of NSAID SOONER?
I have prescriptions for
celecoxib
and etoricoxib. I usually try to cope without either, then as pain gets worse try regular paracetamol. Only when I am desperate do I start with the NSAID. Is this the right approach? Should I start with the NSAID sooner to try to prevent pain progressing?

They have stopped me taking Naproxen, in case that was the culprit, but still have the pain, now on
celecoxib
, paracetamol and the occasional codeine tablet for pain. Any ideas? TIA.

One could consider a selective COX-2 inhinitor [
Celecoxib
- Celebrex - which is not recommended for those with a high risk of heart disease.] Or, one could load-up on natural polyphenols that are all anti-inflammatory & NF-kB inhibitors.

The Hallmarks of Cancer: Preserving Health and Longevity while fighting Prostate Cancer
Effective pharmacologic anti-inflammatories include low-dose aspirin, NSAIDS, especially the COX2 inhibitor
celecoxib
, and statins, among others. Overall inflammatory status can be checked with simple blood tests such as CRP and ESR among others.

Inflammation or T3
I’ve developed a burning feeling in the back of my upper arms I’ve had it for about 6 weeks now and now travelling down to my right hip, I feel like it’s right inside my muscles as if an elastic band tied to tight and not feeling that well ( no temperature or symptoms of the virus . I’ve been prescribed

100g twice a day which only take the edge off after a couple of hours. I've had horrendous pain in my shoulders and upper arms these past few weeks also a headache and jaw pain , and I've lost 6lbs.

Afib and sam-e
Heart doctor doesn't like
celecoxib
and other nsaids, says they have heart health risks. I recently read that sam-e works as well as
celecoxib
. But, it has a risk of afib. Would appreciate any insights anybody has regarding sam-e and afib?

Degenerative disc disease, degenerative joint changes, lupus and CKD
I have long been diagnosed with osteoarthritis, but when I was diagnosed with ckd, I was taken off
Celecoxib
and have been making do with Tramadol and Tylenol, and when the pain became too intense, Prednisone, which provided me with relief for six months or so.

Well there you go, then!
As an aside, the GPs prescribed
celecoxib
anti-inflammation and pain relief. Didn't do anything. Blood pressure was also 'off the chart' and prescribed a drug for that. But I read that
celecoxib
should not be given to those with high blood pressure. So stopped it.
