I have afib and osteoarthritis in knee and hip. Heart doctor doesn't like celecoxib and other nsaids, says they have heart health risks. I recently read that sam-e works as well as celecoxib. But, it has a risk of afib. Would appreciate any insights anybody has regarding sam-e and afib?

be sure to get proper medical advice as many pain killers can't be taken with anti coagulants. Paracetamol is OK according to my GP but I don't know of anything else.
Thanks rosyG. Actually I'm leveraging the painkillers as an anticoagulant, with my heart doctor's agreement.
So I'm good there. But what I want to find out is whether anybody has any experience with afib and sam-e?
My pharmacist has binned prescriptions for ibuprofen and any other pain meds for spinal arthritis except tramadol and paracetamol. Because I'm on Pradaxa everything else is out.
I have an excellent but tough pharmacist.
All I can say is that I take cocodamol for osteoarthritis.
