Hi I’ve recently joint the club, and have been put on abixapan 5mg twice a day until
cardioversion
, and 2.5mg of Bisoprolol, but I’m constantly getting out of breath doing the simplest of tasks ie climbing the stairs, getting changed etc can anyone help?

Cardioversion - Success rate and experiences
Can anyone share experiences of
cardioversion
- success stories or otherwise? I have read it's not hugely successful if AF has been present for a while. Any feedback would help please!

M/E v A/Fib
I now have persistent A/F, I had a
cardioversion
six weeks ago, it lasted eight days, I saw the E/P, who suggested it be tried again, this time taking Amiodorone, beforehand, I have heard that this is a pretty obnoxious drug, would welcome comments on this, I feel so very unwell, that I would try anything

I was diagnosed with afib 6 months ago and am going for a

Af
Going to see my consultant Thursday to see what's happening next. Been in af since August. Tabs seem to be keeping it down to 100 or below. I have had 2 cardioversion's. Went back into af after a week. Feel terrible out of breath going upstairs and dog walking. Fingers crossed for Thursday.. Not keen

An up date, 4 weeks post knee replacement- so far, very good!
Thans to all whose supportive replies strengthened my reslove to go ahead with the knee replacement three weeks after
cardioversion
for possible perimitral AF. The good news is that the op, performed under spinal anaesethesia, went smoothly with no sign of AF.

Update after developing AF
I had an echocardiogram, nothing much showed up on the results, then I got my first
cardioversion
which so far has been successful and I feel much better (still taking 5mg Bisoprolol and anti coagulation tablets).

Cardioversion
Had 2nd c.v 3 days ago, not as sore as last time, procedure successful, feel much better, still on Biso and apixaban, follow up visit to follow. Would recommend this if anyone worried about going through with one, give it a go. Best wishes to all going through your own situation.

Palpitations back
Hello everyone I had a
cardioversion
on 27th December last year. I was in permanent AF when I had it and it stopped straight after. Since then I have had 2 episodes of AF which have lasted 24 hours or more. Does this mean the
cardioversion
failed? Wondering what will be next. Thanks

Cardioversion
I had a
cardioversion
last year in Wythenshawe NHS cardiac unit which put me back in nsr. The staff were brilliant - professional and their attention to detail was very reassuring. Stupidly I was careless taking my meds (dronedarone) and I've flipped back into af. I am really struggling.

Relative in ICU
He received a
cardioversion
yesterday, and has been in and out of normal sinus rhythm since. His ventilator has been knocked down from 80 to 40%, and the magic number to get him off the ventilator is 30%. The doctor said it looks a lot like pulmonary fibrosis.
