8 Days after Cardioversion
Hi everyone, I had a
cardioversion
last week for my persistent AF and all was OK until about an hour ago when I felt palpitations and I have discovered i'm back into AF. My HR is about 85-100 BPM. I've been taking Dronedarone since the end of November and was hoping this would keep me in sinus.

Flecainide failed after 8 months
Called my EP yesterday who told me to increase Fleca to 150mg twice a day and come tomorrow (Tuesday) for
cardioversion
and discuss (schedule) cryoablation. He put me on Eliquis too. I wonder if I am in permanent AF now and is cryo better path than RF?

Persistent AF
Hi everyone, I saw my consultant today after going back into AF 8 days after
cardioversion
. I am currently taking Dronedarone. He said there are two options for me, 1 - to leave me in AF with rate control as I am asymptomatic 2- Ablation. The arrhythmic drugs just are not working for me.

feeling cross
I was sitting in my GP's waiting room on Thursday listening to a very loud man talking to someone he obviously knew. I imagine he was mid 60s (same as me). He was there to discuss his recent blood test results which he knew where bad as he had just come back from holiday! Apparently he had taken himself

Long Time AFIB
I've had a
cardioversion
and one year ago had an ablation. AFIB has continued and is getting worse. I am on blood thinners. My doctor has given me two options, Tikosyon or another ablation. My first ablation took 6-7 hours under anesthesia and another 6 hours lying on back.

How many people are still on medication (other than anticoagulant) after ablation?
As soon as they tried to reduce them he had major problems again and went into constant AF, which despite
cardioversion
, ramping up original doses and trying new meds, nothing worked and he was sent for another ablation!

However, I chose the second
Cardioversion
which again dropped back within a day or so.

A love letter from and for the heart 💜
She put me on a 2nd blocker on top of fhe Sotalol I take and on Pradaxa, a blood thinner and planned a
cardioversion
in 4 weeks time. It was a week of hell for me - exhaustion, debilitating fatigue. wildly fluctuating pulse, (low 100's up as high as 160).

My 'not so brief' story into AF and beyond !! (hopefully)
I was then booked in for a
Cardioversion
and put on blood thinners. ( Elquis/Apixaban 2 x 5mg) I had not previously been on blood thinners at any time. In June 2016 I had the
Cardioversion
and returned to normal rhythm for 10 days.

After 2nd ablation, cardioversion failed
Hello, I had my 2nd ablation a week ago and went into Afib last night. The ER was unable to cardiovert me back into rythm and now I've been told to just wait and hope it converts on its own. It feels horrible when I'm in Afib, I'm very symptomatic. The doctor said my heart probably just needso time to

Early Christmas present a cardioversion
My pesky heart went into AF first thing yesterday morning. But was unable to sort it out with PIP. As many will understand I was very depressed yesterday because of it. I wanted to put a post on our Forum but I was reluctant to put a downer on the many positive posts that were being written recently

Thank you Bob!
Then I was referred to a cardiologist and then an electrophysiologist and have since had an unsuccessful
cardioversion
and then ablation.

Digoxin
After a
cardioversion
in September for PAF I had a revision of my meds. The only change was to up the dose of flecainide from 200mgs a day to 300mgs.and after 2weeks would have an ECG and then a small dose of Digoxin would be added.

Cardioversion
I finally had my
Cardioversion
yesterday after waiting 3 and a half months. It appears to have gone very well, and I'll let you know how the next few months are.

Vats Ablation, my story.
I went in had
Cardioversion
taking two attempts to get it in sinus rhythm, this lasted 13 days. I felt 100% better during this period on reporting this to my cardiologist he said that's usual but it showed the benefits were worth pursuing.
