6 months post ablation and off Eliquis - occasional pint.
I ended in the hospital again having
cardioversion
and a few days after that ablation in NYC (new EP). The two months post ablation were the toughest part as most of the time I was not even able to walk. 30 ft was a marathon for me. Then in just two days I was walking like nothing happened.

Cardioversion and Left/Right atrium size.
I was told that the echo had shown that my right atrium size showed it as unlikely that the
cardioversion
would be successful. It can be either atrium that is the culprit. However if they first do a cryoablation it will change the size of the right atrium and they can then do a
cardioversion
.

For me personally it was somewhere to come to make sense of it all when diagnosed at 32. I like to think I've reassured offered insight into things having had three ablation and a dozen cardioversions as "payback" for all the helpful advice and encouragement I got. It's very good to know you can sound

Cardioversion Failure
I had my
cardioversion
to correct AF not even a week ago. Three days later after a successful
cardioversion
, the AF returned. I could cry with disappointment, but that would only make matters worse. Such a shame, as I had just started to feel better with my old energy creeping back.

electric cardioversion done
I just had an electric
cardioversion
done which was successful. In the interest of maintaining normal sinus rhythm I'm interested in hearing About What life style changes people have made? Did any specific triggers contribute to maintaining or disrupting the positive results of CV?

Is a pacemaker the next step?
Hi people I follow these posts as find them helpful when trying to get advice for my dad. He has had 3 ablation and 5 cardioversions and back in AF again. He can’t take betablokers as they make him ill. I feel like he is getting fobbed off as they keep saying he doesn’t need a pacemaker and an ablation

An unusually tangible post from me - to anticoagulate or not, that is the question
My CHADS VASC score is 0, and the only reason he told me to keep taking it was in preparation for
cardioversion
or ablation, but as the NHS waiting list is much longer than 4 weeks, I have no need to anticoagulate for the time being.

Hello! New member of the AF club here
I was taken to hospital and put on a drip to control the AF but it wouldn't work so they gave me
cardioversion
on sunday evening and that got me back to normal rythym. Released from hospital on Tuesday and I'm feeling OK.

Night sweats
Hi there this is the first time I’ve asked a question on here. I follow the posts as my dad suffers with AF and has had 3 ablations and 5 cardioversions but none have longer than a year. Since having AF he suffers with frequent night sweats, has anyone else suffered these and if so do you have any advice

Having a 2nd ablation on Monday
I have been in flutter since Sunday and my EP said there is no point in doing another
cardioversion
as it would be just a Band-Aid, so they had an opening on Monday and scheduled me.

Hybrid ablation part 2
I had been in persistent AF since Feb 2016, give or take a few weeks after
cardioversion
. I had the mini maze on April 6th. Since then I have been predominantly in NSR.

Self cardioversion with elevated HR
Again, not a new subject, but thought I'd post anyway. As far as I know, I've only been in AF 3 times (all in the last 8 weeks). On all 3 occasions, I have cardioverted thanks to a short burst of elevated HR. First time I was on a short bike ride. Second time was on the phone to a scammer claiming

Sotalol - Confused!
Hi Everyone, I won't bore you with my medical past, but I'm due to have a
cardioversion
in a couple of weeks time for persistent AF following my ablation. The consultant has mentioned changing my medication from Bisoprolol to Sotalol to help make the
cardioversion
stick.

Should I have another ablation?
I had my first ablation in March and all was good ,did have to have a
cardioversion
2 weeks later for flutter but was not to worried .In August I went into flutter again and was cardioverted .Saw my EP and he said I should considered another ablation for what they call break through currents.

Hi I am new to the forum
I had my first ablation 1 month ago. I have had 2 cardioversions since. I have had 10 days of fair health. I am back at work. I have severe right leg pain, foot and knee but some shooting pain up my inner thigh. I am booked in for my second ablation in 1 month. I can only hope it gets better.

open heart surgery and ablation
I told him that after I had a
cardioversion
I felt back to normal so I was happy(well not happy!) to agree to the surgery and take the chance of getting a normal life back, but I would like to hear from anyone who has had tis procedure done. My health is good except for the AF.

Amiodarone question
This is for those of you that take amiodarone. I'm wondering how long you've been taking it and what dosage? Any major side effects? My doctor wants me to start 100 mg daily. It scares me as I've read so much negative about long term use, but that it does help with rhythm control. I'm 62 (almost
