Ablation or Flecanide
Following that I had a a number of breakthroughs during the autumn resulting in treatment in Resus with Metropolol IV and finally an electro-
cardioversion
. My EP put me onto Flecanide 150mg twice per day with Metropolol as PIP.

Definitive Diagnosis
Originally diagnosed with SVT and then Multifocal Atrial Tachycardia after the second failed ablation, I ended up in hospital 6 weeks ago with Atrial Flutter which required an electric
cardioversion
.

Advice please
I’m waiting for a
cardioversion
date but also they want to put a camera up my nose and down to my heart to see what has gone wrong with my last ablation. I’m a bit apprehensive about the camera thing. Anyone had this done please and what was it like ?

Amiodarone long term
One (normal) heart scan later and it was decided to list me for a
cardioversion
, which was successful for around 6 hours. I have a Kardia mobile so saved some time by emailing the results to my Cardiologist. He then prescribed me the dreaded Amiodarone and relisted me for another DCCV.

Weird stabbing cramping pain in left side of chest
Hi, I wonder if somebody has had a similar problem.I had a
cardioversion
about 2 years ago and with amiodrone, bisoprolol,Ramipril and apaxiban I have been in sinus rythm.I tried to come off amiodrone earlier this year and after 2-3 weeks I then had a massive scarey AF attack.I went straight back on amiodrone

Af and sleep problem
My doc has said don't worry hopefully sleep will settle down, but its been on the verge of this since the
cardioversion
. I'm just worried if it gets worse, I'll be in real bother. Also, I feel ok walking or riding a bike, but coming back to rest I then get breathless.

After effects Cardioversion
I was admitted for my ablation on Wednesday and it couldn't be done as once they and everything in place they found the problems was far more extensive and would need a general anaesthetic to do and so had a
cardioversion
done and they are going to see me in 3 months to discuss the surgery.

What has been more successful for you? Chemical Cardioversion, DC Cardioversion or Spontaneous Cardioversion?
I have experience of spontaneously reverting to NSR, as well as one successful chemical
cardioversion
and many failed..... and a dozen DC cardioversions which put my back into NSR but little else. I wondered if anyone else had more luck with the chemical aspect?

Proximal Atrial Fibrillation
My first
cardioversion
3 weeks ago has just failed. SO my insurance does not cover PAF . I feel worse now than before my
cardioversion
. And hot flushes are tiring. It doesn't help having a fear of flying. Should I put off flying until my heart is stable? This is such a nuisense.

ECG & review....key questions?
My EP is on leave but, previously mentioned the possibility of
cardioversion
if my heart wasn't back in NSR after 2 weeks. I'm worried that the longer this continues the more established the rogue signals will become.

AV NODE
Am having a AV Node ablation +CRT - P proceedure this coming Thursday, hopefully should sort out the paraxsymol AF that I have put up with for the past 11years. Two ablations plus 3 Cardioversions did not sort me out!! Anyone else experienced this proceedure?

Getting to grips with AF.
Now waiting for a scan to establish ventricular status. with the possibility of a
cardioversion
to follow. The frustration for me the the lack of urgency by the medical staff. I have no idea when the scan might performed.

AF and alcohol
I had a
Cardioversion
which switched me back 2017. Prior to any issues, I was a classic binge drinker, consuming no alcohol for weeks but when going out with the lads, drank beer and various mixers in excess. I’d done this for virtually 20 years without issues!

Six monthly review - Success(?)
My treatment was Bisoprolol and Rivaroxaban with a
cardioversion
in October 2016 which kept me in NSR for just two weeks. After this I was accepted onto a clinical trial at Sheffield.

Atrial Flutter and Shingles
Three weeks ago my tachycardia didn't settle down so I ended up in hospital for a chemical
cardioversion
(unsuccessful) and a successful electric
cardioversion
following a trans-oesophageal echocardiogram. I was then diagnosed with Atrial Flutter which the doctors said is in addition to my MAT.

Need advice about asking GP to change dose of drugs
For another medical reason my consultant felt another try with
cardioversion
op probably wouldn't work so I am now on 10mg Bisoprololol, 180mg Dilitiazem daily and Apixaban twice daily. This has undoubted slowed my heart rate, in the day time its between 75 and 95 beats when resting.

Travelling abroad with a heart problem
A
cardioversion
was planned but 2 appointments were cancelled!!!!! Overloaded hospitals!!!!, then 29th March 2018 I had my successful
cardioversion
and I feel wonderful. I am back in the gym doing cardio training, walking whenever I have the time and thoroughly enjoying life once again.
