cardioversion
After my pre op this morning I have decided to go ahead with the
cardioversion
next Thursday. I can’t say I won’t be anxious and wary but I think it will be for the best.

Thank you everyone for taking the trouble to reply to my post, it’s given me food for thought and has put my mind at rest somewhat.

Waking in afib & first time PIP experience, love to hear experiences of others...
Anyway, PIP didn't work, ended up with another
cardioversion
, getting fed up now, although quite liking the anesthetic now!

I have an appointment for a
cardioversion
pre op on Thursday after being told after an angiogram that everything the arteries were fine but I was in persistent AF.

Heart failure and sleep
Currently under review with cardiologist and probably looking at a pacemaker CRT upgrade and
cardioversion
however until this happens I'm struggling on top of other things with my sleep.

Recently found I am likely to have ARVC
I’ve had an episode of AF in past that very almost required a
cardioversion
and my latest heart echo seems to point to ARVC. I’m awaiting further investigation to confirm the diagnosis but it seems to be fairly evident to be ARVC from my GPs understanding and the specialist heart echo report.

3 year NSR anniversary
after 3 years constant, persistent AF then flutter. 1x external
cardioversion
(failed after 3 days) 1x cryoablation under sedation (failed as procedure cut short due to a short period of asystole!) 1x RF ablation under GA.

Exercise Motivation
However my persistent AF returned in September and I am back on Sotalol with a
cardioversion
planned for next week. However, I find I have lost all motivation to exercise and as a result have put on a few pounds. If it wasn't for my dog I don't believe I would do much walking at all.

Holter Monitor
The reason for this is after my
cardioversion
which only lasted about 2 hours I went back into afib. Howerver after about 4 days during the night while in bed I was in perfect sinus rythem.

How long before ablation to start Edoxaban?
I know some years ago, when preparing for a
cardioversion
, they said to take the anticoagulant Rivaroxaban for one month prior. But I was younger then, and it was a different drug. What have others been told?

Persistent afib treatment options, can't tolerate Amiodarone - so many questions...
Plan was take Amiodarone then

Post Amiodarone and waiting for ablation
I had a
cardioversion
in June and as far as I'm aware I'm still in sinus rhythm. I'm on the list for an ablation at the John Radcliffe in Oxford. I had a couple of blood tests, at my request, whilst still on Amiodarone. I've read you should continue to be monitored after stopping it..

Pacemaker delay
Hi, My husband had a
cardioversion
on the 10th November, his heart has been in AF for years. A pacemaker appointment was then made for the 5th December, he has now just had a phone call to say that because he had the
cardioversion
he cannot have the pacemaker fitted.

stopping apixaban
I have recently had a
cardioversion
and as far as I’m aware I’m still in NSR but am very unsure about stopping the apixaban! I’m waiting for a telephone call from the consultant to discuss this I don’t know which is worse living with the difficulties I have or risking a possible stroke!

Coming off Amiodarone
I had a
cardioversion
a few months later (delayed thanks to doctors and nurses strikes). That worked and I felt better so am on the list for an ablation in Oxford. I came off amiodarone in October.
