Reaching the end of treatment, suggestions beyond Docetaxel and Carboplatin.
1st Docetaxel in ‘21 held psa down to 8, but further treatments have been with no success. I read once that the steroid to use with chemo could be Dexamethasone 1 mg rather than prednisone 5 mg. Is there a clinical reason why? What next?

How long after chemotherapy you return to your "normal" pre chemotherapy?
Between March and July 2022 I had six rounds of Docetaxel +
Carboplatin
and I dont seem to recover ,mainly fatigue. Can not bring myself to some decent level of energy.

Looks like lutetium is next for me (if I can get it)
Finished 6 cycles of chemo with
Carboplatin
added. Scans show mixed results. mipsma 2. Dr. Kwon is suggesting lutetium to push the cancer off the edge of the cliff. He’s suggesting to have it sooner rather than later. I have low tumor load. And Mets to Lymph nodes in pelvic region and subclavical.

Update
He is starting
Carboplatin
-Etoposide chemotherapy tomorrow. Has anyone had this type of prostate cancer and been given this mix of chemo? We have basically been told that if this doesn’t respond there is little else they can do. Martin still has no symptoms. Feels fine and is working away.

Please boys, girls, can anybody advise or help explain why combined carboplatin & etoposide chemo are going to be used in next treatment
He said he will start him on
carboplatin
and etoposide chemo after his radiotherapy. Can anyone shine any light on these two combined chemo treatments. I know
carboplatin
is good for the lung met and is a platinum based chemo.

PT-112 Immunotherapy Trial
From the side effects, it feels like about 10 percent of what chemotherapy felt like to me (docetaxel+
carboplatin
). After a few days of mild nausea after each treatment I mostly feel fatigued and foggy, but I'm still continuing to work.

Starting Tagrisso
After four rounds of Keytruda, Pemetrexed, and
Carboplatin
a PET scan showed primary tumor had increased in size. My doctor then ordered a biopsy which tested positive for EGFR mutation. I had a three week course of radiation and just started Tagrisso two days ago. All my joints are sore.

Further advice please
Options on the table for discussion this week include
Carboplatin
, Radium 223 and Pluvicto (BTW, Pluvicto is "currently" not available in Ottawa Canada and is also not currently funded resulting in a patient price per dose of 27 thousand $).

Choices after chemo and Xtandi?
Going to start
carboplatin
and etoposide next week. We are at the moment in hospital as morphine tabs were not strong enough, now on a morphine pump. Will go home with this morphine pump next week. Of forgot to say Gad radiotherapy 10 sessions on 4 vertebres which finished last Friday.

Input Needed.
• Underwent 8 rounds of Docetaxel +
Carboplatin
and then Cabazitaxol with no apparent effect on the cancer. • Underwent 3 rounds of Lu-177 with no effect on the cancer.

Things have gone from bad to worse; need some hope and guidance.
I asked her about adding
carboplatin
to his chemo- she said no. I asked her about provenge or immunotherapy- she said that's not for this stage I asked her about PARP-inhibitors- she said his genetic testing is negative. We are all heartbroken as it feels like we are in a very bad situation.

Order of Pluvicto (Lu-177) vs. cabazitaxel/carboplatin chemo?
If there weren’t a supply chain shortage of Pluvicto my question is: Is there any scientific evidence for which order the treatments should be done? Did the Vision trial suggest anything? Thanks everyone.

Recurrence for clear cell ovarian cancer
I started paclitaxel and
carboplatin
and had 6 cycles every 3 weeks finishing on the 27th September. My CA125 remained at 10. I began Niraparib in the November and my CA125 was already starting to rise although I didn't know until just before christmas when I went to see my oncologist.

One last battle
Sent home to do cabazitaxel/
carboplatin
after Christmas. My question: what side effects might I experience on this chemo combo? I only had fatigue (and hair loss) when I did taxotere. I wish you all happy holidays. Every day is precious.

Fourth line chemo
First round tomorrow,
carboplatin
as single agent initially - possibly adding gemcitane if it seems to need an extra boost.

Lu-177 as SOC vs Clinical Trial
Since I've now just had my 16th cabazitazel/
carboplatin
chemo treatment, we're looking at options and working on Lu-177. I'm curious that, since Lu-177 is now FDA approved and is Standard Of Care, is there an advantage to seeking a clinical trial vs receiving it as SOC?
