Cimzia advice please ...
Hi everyone, not been on in a while as it's been a roller coaster few months. Some of you may remember I was offered to take part in a drugs trial for a new biologic in February, unfortunately the criteria was set so high that I didn't make the trial. I finally had a follow up appointment on Monday

who or what is "healthcare at home", can't get responses to my e-mails, can't get a phonecall answered.
My last delivery from them of Cimzia injection was in February, won't answer phone, nor acknowledge e-mails, my last injection was 5th March so missed my 19th injection, and still can't get a response. Failed even to get a rheumatology response, so am suffering extreme pain now.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my Anaemia/cancer worries: I'm delighted to say that after various tests over the past 21 weeks, I have
been declared clear of colo-rectal cancer and now "only" have Anaemia of Chronic Disease due to my RA ! So now it's working out the best treatment for that, as I've proved over-sensitive to 2 different anaemia tablets so far... Also I'm going to give Humira a try in the autumn, now I've got over the

Started Cimzia yesterday
I've been waiting for what seems like an eternity to start Cimzia - various delays and cancellations for one reason and another but third time lucky, the Healthcare at Home nurse arrived yesterday (and very lovely she was too). Although I'm used to injecting methotrexate, I had read a few things about

West Pennines abysmal changes
Sorry but I need to off load a bit. I am a patient at Rochdale Rheumatology Dept have a fantastic consultant and until recent changes fantastic support from the rheumy nurses. Since Xmas I have had no medication due to a severe reaction to Cimzia. During the past 3 months I have been tested for fibrosis

Cimzia people advice please
Hello hope you are all doing ok - I've just found out I've got a water infection and am starting antibiotics , I know that I can't take my Cimzia jab due to tomorrow but unsure when will be able to go back on it. I've phoned the hospital and left a message and they'll probably call me back in next 48

So........ what now?
Four and a half years ago, I started going to see my GP every few weeks with a pain here, a pain there, swelling here and discomfort there. I finally saw a consultant who told me I had seronegative RA. 'Thank goodness!' I said - I thought I was crazy! Combination therapy didn't really touch it, and a

Leflunomide dose question
I'm on 20mg injected MTX and 10mg leflunomide - been on this 18 months. I had cimzia added in August but the injections were stopped a few weeks ago due to side effects. The plan is to try another anti TNF but I finish my degree at the end of May and I don't want to go on another anti TNF before then

might be offered cimzia but unsure.......
After having 2 high DAS's my rheumy nurse has interviewed me to discuss cimzia. I am already on methotrexate injections and sulphasalazine tablets and because of a very bad flare early December I may be "considered" for cimzia injections. However, after copious reading about the drug I am not sure if

Do you inject/take MTX and/or anti TNFs when unwell?
I know I'm meant to miss the injections when on antibiotics but what about when 'just' unwell? I have the most horrific thrush which is making me feel very poorly, so not sure what to do. (I'm due MTX inj tonight and cimzia inj tomorrow!) EDIT: I actually feel quite silly asking this. I've been on MTX

Cracked and bleeding fingers
Hi friends I need help I'm at end of my tether. I have done most of the biological drugs. Enbrel, Humira and for the past 2 years Cimzia. However about 8 months ago my breathing got very bad. I could only walk a couple of steps, this was put down to my COPD. But last June all of a sudden the skin on

On Cimzia and working in a Primary School?
I resigned from my fabulous but very demanding job as a teacher at Christmas because I could no longer work the long days with the pain and exhaustion (both physical and emotional) that my RA causes. I used to crawl in through the door at the end of the day and collapse in tears - and I still had two

Red eye
It seems I have nodular episcleritis. Moorfields are taking care of me with steroid drops but it doesn't seem to be responding very quickly. Does anyone have any suggestions for self help things that might work? I'm already on Cimzia, MTX and Hydroxy. Plus Celebrex for the moment with the eye! Thanks

Anti TNFers - do you notice if you miss/delay a dose?
I inject cimzia fortnightly. I keep picking up infections, so have had to delay doses and I really notice if I've been delayed for more than a week or so because my RA symptoms start raging. Anyone else experience this?

Does changing from MTX tablets to injection always help reduce the nausea & diarrhoea side effects
Hi everyone I have not been contributing recently but have found a lot of the chat very interesting. I have been on Cimzia & MTX tablets (20mg) for the past 3years but because of the GI side effects was changed to MTX injection (20mg) 8 weeks ago. Prior to this I had difficulty eating well & had lost

Does anyone know how long after a head cold one can begin the Cimzia shot again?
I was due a week ago, the cold just hung on but am feeling ok now. I take Cimzia twice a month usually.
