Clonidine - success with RLS anyone?
As some of you may remember I was prescribed
Buprenorphine
two years ago by a neurologist for my restless limbs. I have a feeling I may have asked this question before, maybe not in one of my posts, (can't remember!) Does anyone out there take Clonidine for RLS? if so is it successful?

More questions!
. , eventually, agreed to giving me
Buprenorphine
and I changed from 12 mcg. Fentanyl patch to a 10 mcg
Buprenorphine
patch . The first night was good with my leg's feeling a bit strange but not restless and I was slightly, hopeful! Then last night ( the 5th !)

update from Ruffabug (End of life plan)
He said that my GP may not agree to prescribe
Buprenorphine
in which case he would write a script for it. This is possible as here in the UK if is not readily prescribed.

Side effects of Buprenorphine
Several persons on this site have already helped me but I want to ask the general following about the use of
Buprenorphine
for treatment of RLS. and its augmentation After testing in vain, pregabalin, oxycodone several other less well advertised RLS treatments I got agreement from my GP to try

Could Gluten Intolerance lead to RLS?
He has been on the gluten free diet for 2 months now and in the last month has had no RLS ( he is also tapering with
Buprenorphine
5 mg patch so that is definitely working too). Don’t know if it would have made a difference but is worth a consideration.

Had doctors appointment this morning sigh
So now will write back to the neuro this time about the targinact AND the
buprenorphine
as i threw that med in the conversation. I did tell her i didn’t trust the neuro after he put my brother on 6mgs neupro patch. So another wait to see what the neuro decides. sigh

I am a little lost in my tapering regime
Do I increase the gabapentin or just settle with the
buprenorphine
/naloxone if it works for me? I am feeling a little lost now in what I should be doing.

Buprenorphine and antidepressants
I have had RLS for 50 years and depression right along with it. Wellbutrin has worked well, but I still get periods of severe depression on it. Since discontinuing the Pramipexole 3 months ago, the depression has been very severe. Not sure if was stopping the Pramipexole or starting the Bup. has anyone

medication rotation
My RLS doctor, who I have found to be most knowledgeable about RLS put me on
Buprenorphine
,( .5 mg is my lowest effective dose). I was on Pramipexole without significant augmentation, but discontinued gradually after starting the Bup.

Escape from Augmentation part 2
Most were dead ends but my present use of
buprenorphine
patches (5mcg/hr) supplemented by an occasional as needed 200mcg
buprenorphine
tablet has successfully blocked off RLS.

add injury to my misery
I tried methadone ( didn’t like the drug hangover), oxycodone ( worked fairly well for about 8 months) and am now on
Buprenorphine
/Naloxone sublingual film 1/5 or 1/4 of a film in evening. For the most that has been working pretty well.

buprenorphine dose
I’m in the US, and just started a Suboxone Rx two weeks ago at dosage of 2/.5. I’d like to get lower dosage if I can, but I don’t see any US companies advertising the .2/.05 tablets that you have in UK. I’ve found that using 1/4 strip every other day works fine for me. I assume the long half-life

meloxicam?
Hello I’ve been prescribed meloxicam to help with pain in my feet and ankles which is rendering me virtually disabled - I am wondering if this drug is known to affect restless legs ( mine are still severe despite being on
buprenorphine
and pregabalin…) I have also been prescribed omeprazole to help

Buprenorphine triggers RLS (briefly)?
I'm seeing my doctor today to see about getting a buccal version of
buprenorphine
in the hopes of reducing the constipation side effect. I might also ask to try a patch version just to experiment. I'll post results...

1 more question?! Maybe more!
Today I started the 10 mcg
Buprenorphine
patch...changed from 12 mcg Fentanyl patch which didn't do much for pain and definitely nothing for the rls ! How long, approximately, does it take for
Buprenorphine
to kick in and start to help....hopefully?

Mirapexin Oxycodone
I requested
Buprenorphine
but they said only a sleep consultant can prescribe that. They have suggested Oxycodone and will write to my gp to confirm this. So another few weeks goes by whilst they write the letter and my gp decides to action it.

buprenorphine - sublingual to transdermal conversion
I have seen a few instances where people are switching from sublinguals to patches, and they are getting too high of a dose for the patch. Here’s a table that shows dose equivalents for several opiods. Everything is converted to ME (morphine equivalent) for sake of comparison. You have to read footnote
