Good News!!!
My dr. approved the
buprenorphine
for me. I am thinking positive that it will work. She is giving me the patch. I am excited. I have to discontinue the horizant though which surprised me and of course discontinue the oxycodone.

What is meaning of an opioid being licensed?
I am told in the UK methodone and
buprenorphine
(for example), are not licenced for use in RLS. But some people seem to have access, so how is that? Is it that they have to pay for them? Can a GP prescribe them? how does it work?

I am on 8mg of
Buprenorphine
with no help for the RLS, but controls the pain rather well. Does anybody have any suggestions? Maybe getting back on OXy or I wonder if Hydrocodone? Please help I can hardly walk due to the pain from my back.

Any advice re-
buprenorphine
is very welcome. Would it help to take say up to 300 mg gabapentin?

Buprenorphine Patch
Buprenorphine
patch 10mg prescribed for chronic pain 18 months ago. No follow up as to reactions, efficacy etc. Did have skin reactions but decided to ‘grin and bear it’. Personally I did not feel I was getting any pain relief and decided to continue to occasionally take my Cocodamol.

Post surgery pain
I previously posted a question about post surgical pain and Belbuca (buccal
Buprenorphine
,). I had hip replacement one week ago. The pain is excruciating. I conferred with my surgeon prior to the surgery because I was afraid of this. He told me not to worry. Ha!

Buprenorphine update - one week in
How strange that my sleep consultant is licensed to prescribe Oxycodone but recoiled in horror when I mentioned
Buprenorphine
. Yet here I am, feeling human for the first time in years.

Needing more info on Buprenorphine
appointment I was prescribed beta blockers ( side affects too bad ) , I stopped taking them , also I was prescribed trazodone , which I read can help RLS, unfortunately it made mine so much worse , to the point I couldn’t sit long enough to even have a wee , so I’m now going to ask if they would prescribe

bup tablets v temgesic
Hello - I am usually prescribed pure
buprenorphine
0.4 tablets - either morningside or accord brand - however this month I was given Temgesic - I assumed they had had issues sourcing the usual brands.

Buprenorphine/Naloxone (Suboxone)
I have thoroughly scoured the information in this wonderful forum and have seen it suggested (Shumbah) that it is preferable to take straight
Buprenorphine
, without the Naloxone.

Buprenorphine tablet's refused....why ?
I had spoken to the Pain Clinic Specialist Nurse about changing from the
Buprenorphine
patch to tablet's and she agreed to write to my Dr. and ask him to change over because I am having a reaction to the gum on the patch and the itch is driving me nuts!

Working with RLS
I have decided that I am unable to return to 9 to 5 employment as whilst my condition is now well controlled with
Buprenorphine
I still get breakthrough at various times of the day that is disruptive to normal employment.

Pregabalin no longer effective
They are all very reluctant to prescribe
Buprenorphine
or similar - though it may not be impossible - and have suggested low dose DAs. Could I ask you all if anyone knows how long, on average, it takes for augmentation to occur when on DAs? I am 65 now, have MS, probably drink too much(!)
