Good Bye Xeloda
Turns out all my anxiety over taking Xeloda was warranted (for me). I wanted to THANK all of you beautiful people who helped me through my decision. I appreciate ALL of you so much!! I ended up starting it last Wednesday and my doctor lowered my dose to start. She put me on 1500mg twice a day. I

Dry frizzy hair due to MBC medication,
I’ve been on Ibrance and Faslodex for 4-1/2 years. Although I’m thankful that the meds have helped me so far, I would like to know if anyone has found a good shampoo and conditioner to help with dry, straight and frizzy hair, My old shiny and wavy hair changed significantly since start of MBC drugs

Allergic reaction to Doxil, my first ever chemo infusion
Hi everyone, Has anyone experienced an allergic reaction to Doxil? Almost three years ago, I was diagnosed with stage 4 MBC. After being on hormone therapy for over two years, mostly IBrance and Letrozole, and then oral chemo for six months, my most recent petscan showed the cancer is still spreading

Just to let you kind folks know that all went well under GA at a Private Hospital 30-31 October. I got the InterCity bus down to our base private hospital - ACC operation. Weatherwise cold, windy and the big bus journeyed through it OK. I settled in the Motel 200m from the hospital. The A/C was switched

Ibrance and social distancing?
When I started on Ibrance my onc said to avoid crowds. To me this means theater shows, concerts, craft shows, etc. All of those places are usually completely full, sold-out, etc. It essentially means never going to them, ever! How many of you have eliminated going to these types of places?

Spinal Nerve Damage
I have been trying to see a orthopedic surgeon for 3+ years. I am 78yo. I have had back problems for many years, after blowing 2 discs in a 24 hour run. And also too much competitive squash and tennis. A few years ago my lower back, legs and feet became very painful and mobility decreases dramatically

Anybody with good results on Xeloda?
I was on Ibrance and Letrozole, then Verzenio and Faslodex and then Orserdu. Since Orserdu now failed, the next plan is Xeloda. I read here some reports about some bad side effects. My oncologist at Dana Farber gave me some choices and indicated that in my situation, Xeloda might be best. The

High cholesterol while on Ibrance and Letrozole.
Hello I'm wondering if anyone has been prescribed cholesterol medication while taking Ibrance and Letrozole...or has found someother way to lower their cholesterol levels? I've been on this combo for around 2 1/2 years with monthly Zoladex implant too. From what I can see from some brief research...the

Ibrance/Letrozole Fail
Been through the wringer and back over the past month. Scans showed progression. Had bone only mets and now showing inflammation in my lungs. Had more scans and genomic testing for mutations and it turns out I have no mutations that have been studied yet. My oncologist is putting me on Xeloda and says

AF no longer a problem?
My first episode of AF was in 2014. The ambulance crew came to my house and clearly recorded atrial fibrillation which was confirmed after I was taken to hospital. The Cardiologist/Electrophysiologist put me on Apixaban. I was discharged a year later from his care. A year later I had a short hospital

Hello
Hi everyone, I've been Stage IV mbc since December 2019, on Ibrance / Letrozole but now facing a change. Those drugs (with some off label drugs and naturopathic treatments/supplements) kept me stable for nearly 4 years. Now some update on my left femur, sternum and new tumors in my liver. Curious

Regular alternate irregular heartbeats, .75 sec then 1 sec continuous- is this AF or some variation?
Noticed this morning when getting ready for a group bike ride, that I had an arrhythmia - I was slightly breathless as I rushed around getting my kit together. As always, a quick check of the pulse shows my pulse is fast and irregular. Whip out the 1 lead Kardia and first off it says possible AF @ HR

hope + action
thought it befitting to share on World Cancer Day. the latest (yearly) PET/CT scan was 29 January. thankFULL it was another NEAD result; the initial dx was Oct 2011, and the mBC dx was July 2015. the aforementioned scan is eight years of mBC NEAD scans. and, after the scan we discussed stopping Ibrance

Blood biopsy
My last PET scan showed progression in my T1, manumbrium (top part of the sternum) and in my pelvis. My oncologist ordered a blood biopsy and the results show that there is no treatment for my mutations. So I had 5 sessions of radiation, each time treating all 3 of my lesions. She is keeping me on

Metoprolol as rate reducer with no affect on rhythm....
So after my last Holter showed 8500 episodes of SVT (Atrial Tachycardia) in 14 days, with a 19% burden of Atrial Ectopy and 11% burden of tachycardia, my EP recommended an echo (which was normal, thankfully), starting Metoprolol, and Eliquis, while I wait for another ablation. I have tried, and failed

Quivering sensations
I hope you are all wellMy question : Has anyone experienced episodic "quivering" sensations that are very brief, 10 seconds or so? I've had something similar before, several years ago and wore a Zio patch for 2 weeks but never picked up any A-fib only PACs and PVCs. I am now 67 year old dx with paroxsymal

TruQap progress-lower TM
I posted about beginning this newly approved FDA drug in December. My blood tests last week showed that my TM dropped by 135 points. This is added to the Fulvestrant jabs I started around spring 2023. The combination seems to be going well so far. I was previously on Ibrance for several years until

Stop taking iBrance?
I just had an interesting meeting with my Onc. She asked me if I would consider going off ibranch because I have been stable ever since I started to take it five and a half years ago. I was shocked. I didn't know what to say other than I feel more secure staying on it. She said that there are clinical
