how much budesonide is too much?
diagnosed a year ago. Been on 2 courses of budesonide only for symptoms to return. I have been off it 2 months now and there is no end in sight of diarrhoea even with cutting out gluten, lactose, sweetners, alcohol, spicy food etc. I don’t seem to have much left and still rushing to the loo. I can

How long to diagnosis?
It took 10 weeks from first symptoms to diagnosis and treatment of microscopic colitis via a colonoscopy. The Budesonide has been 100% successful although I understand that symptoms may recur. Talking to my GP l was asking him why it took so long but he told me that I was relatively lucky and the average

Any one else.
Hi, sorry I haven't posted for a while. Sometimes I think I'm completely on my own in this. I have a couple of questions if I may. Has anyone else been on mycophenolate mofitil and had a really bad acid upset stomach. This did not start at the beginning of treatment but has come on slowly. Does anyone

Is fibrosis f2 reversible?
Had fibroscan today. Score of 9.2. Is this reversible? I was pleased it wasnt cirrhosis. I was told it was mild fibrosis but online charts indicate f2 as 'significant fibrosis with evidence of progressive liver disease' I have AIH & am taking budesonide 9mg daily. My LFTs have started to normalise so

Crohn’s Diagnosis ?
I was wondering if anyone who has been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease could help me. I developed a fistula in July’s of 2021. I have no family history of IBD disease. When I realized most people who get fistulas also have IBD I started having severe stomach pain 24-7 I couldn’t eat for months. I did

Wrist and arm pain!
Has anyone experienced severe wrist pain going up to the elbow, which in the night makes my lower arm and hand numb? I don't get the numbness or tingling as much during the day, but the pain persists and is made worse when I use my hands...especially as in typing! Both wrists hurt, but the right is

Clear Colonoscopy
Has anyone had a clear colonoscopy, in which the bowel looked normal, after taking Budesonide and Methotrexate? I have Chron's and was in hospital for five days over Christmas with a really bad flare. Does this mean that the Chron's has gone or is just remission? I was told at the time to keep taking

Hi ladies, hope you all are doing fine:) So my mom has lots of nasal polyps, that’s why she’s been having congested nose for a long period of time and mucus,so her ENT prescribed her budesonide (steroid) atomizer to reduce the sizes of polyps or even shrinkage of polyps and also it relieves allergy. Prednisolone Withdrawal Symptoms
I was taking 15mg of Prednisolone and was then put on 9mg of Budesonide at the same time with the idea of stopping Pred & staying on Bud. Trouble is they told me to stop Pred abruptly after one week without tapering. Last night & today I feel very, very rough. The only way to describe it is like I've

A Good Day
Saw my new consultant today & my new liver nurse & they were both fantastic. He explained everything clearly to me. He is trying me on Budesonide 9mg a day which is a corticosteroid & stays in the liver longer than pred. I didnt fancy using 6MP after the nightmare I had with Azathioprine. There was

Disappointed/stressed
9 days into taking Pentasa (alongside budesonide 3mg) in an attempt to stop taking budesonide and I experienced side effects of the pentasa. Feeling Anxious
I have Collagenous Collitis. My Consultant wants me to start mesalazine and stop the budesonide which I’ve been taking on low dose for several months now. I’m feeling really anxious about moving to this new drug. Does it work? I know that you can’t take budesonide forever but it really has changed

My 62 year old daddy on a ventilator from covid complications and lung scarring.
My dad has been fighting covid pneumonia for almost 4 weeks now. He has been on the ventilator for 15 days requiring 90-100% with very fast breaths(BiLevel). He is able to keep his stats in the 90s right now. The doctors say he now has lung scarring which can't be corrected. He is on dialysis now as

Any views on Trelogy Inhaler
Good morning I have seen some really good reviews on the inhaler Trimbow today but am reluctant to try it as whenever I have tried an inhaler with formoterol n it I have had problems. I would like to try Trelogy does anyone have any information on it and do you need to be at a certain stage in COPD

Collagenous Collitis Advice
Hi, I’m just wondering how long you can take the maintenance dose of budesonide for Collagenous Collitis? Is there a time limit on this?
