Brimonidine

I feel that the cataract surgery on my left eye helped, and I am down to two drops (Cosopt PF and Brimonidine Tartrate). This has stabilized my pressure. I have also avoided steroid drops and Prostaglandin analogs. I believe that I had Infectious Uveitis, not Non-Infectious.

Currently I'm on Lymecycline, Azelaic Acid, Tacrolimus, Carvedilol (beta blockers), Brimonidine (which I use for the nose). I've tried other things in the past, including Doxycycline, Ivermectin (Solantra).

Dr gave me brimonidine, I also use cosopt and xalatan on that eye. I had dry eyes also and in Montenegro we don’t have PF drops for glaucoma. Dr told me if pressure don’t came down we will repeat iridiotomy. If that fail to, we will do lens extraction.

I have heard brimonidine is ok but apparently it's not ok for the third trimester. 2. I'd like to know if anyone has had trabeculotomy surgery and did it all go ok? Also, any other advice/suggestions/comments would be much appreciated :-) Thank you!

Meanwhile the other eye since May has developed a pretty bad intolerance to the brinzololamide or brimonidine and possibly tafluprost/timolol. The eye is red and eyelid puffy and intensely itchy !!!which is the worst part. It waxes and wanes but never clears up.

However, I’m still taking Latanoprost, Dorzolamide and Brimonidine twice a day to maintain my pressures generally in the low twenties.

info - I'm a 39 years old woman, plateua iris glaucoma with quite severe short sightedness (-6.50) spent about 7 years on various drops which would work just for a while, had laser iridotomy 3 years ago - was on Dorzolamide with timolol and travoprost (still take in left eye) and also ended up taking Brimonidine

I was prescribed brimonidine in addition to latanoprost and dorzolamide and the incidence of blurry vision and halos reduced to about every two weeks. However my clinic measured pressures were still usually in the 20s.

IN THIS ONE Simbrinza – a combination of brinzolamide (carbonic anhydrase inhibitor) and brimonidine (alpha agonist).

Hello I have been taking the brand name alphagan (brimonidine) since january and it is not preservative free.

Has anyone tried Brinzolamide and Brimonidine separately instead ? I should be grateful to hear if anyone has any information .

No much improvement with timolol and brimonidine. Any help?

This has happened with my previous eyes drops, Brimonidine and Timolol. Both of which I had to stop using becomes of the same side effects. I am now concerned that I won't find any suitable. My interoccular pressure is overy 30 in both eyes.
