Alphagan (brimonidine) or Alphagan P (without preservative) does anyone take this if so how are you with it

Hello I have been taking the brand name alphagan (brimonidine) since january and it is not preservative free. I live in france and have been trying to change it to alphagan p which is preservative free. it has been extremely difficult to get as i have to have a special form and go to the hospital to order it. So far no luck in getting it.

After reading many articles about the effects of preservative eye drops i am worried. I would like a preservative free one. Does anyone take brimonidine preservative free perhaps it is under a different brand name. If so how are you on it as it has taken me 3 different eye drops for my eyes to accept this one.

Hello- writing this from Canada- have been using Alphagan P for many years- I was diagnosed with glaucoma at age 50 and I am now 67 so have had no difficulties with it-I am on three different drops -Azopt, Xalatan and Alphagan P- Good luck in your efforts to find it- have never had challenges with supply here - Best regards!

Hi Traveller66 thanks for your reply. I am trying to get alphagan p, I really don't want any preservatives in my eyes. I am seeing my doctor next week as I had laser surgery 6 weeks ago. I am hoping my pressure has gone down. Glad you have been ok on your drugs and your eye sight has not diminished. thanks valeriefrance
