Frustrated by A&E
Hi all, I apologise for the rant that's about to happen but I'm curious if anyone else has this trouble or if it's just the complacency of the staff in my local A&E. I tend to bounce in and out of A&E with attacks fairly often, I'm on the maximum meds that I can have inhalors / nebs / tablets and am

What to do now
Hi Everyone I'm struggling a bit at the moment. I had colds last October, November and December! I needed oral Steroids in October but that was the only time I had them in 2011. In the new year I felt like I'd got a constant cold and the Asthma was playing up, especially in the mornings. My GP thought

Not improving as much as I should
Hi Everyone Just a quick query as I don't seem to be improving as much as I normally do after an exacerbation. I got a cold on the 5th March and immediately doubled my Seretide, but on the 15th March I needed to start a 5 day course of Pred. On the 17th and 18th I was admitted to A & E and given nebs

Infections Fed Up
I am feeling a bit fed up, I am on cimzia and it has really helped but because it makes you prone to infections I have had to have antibiotics and steroids and each time I have had to stop the injections, I have had a sinus infection this time and a sore throat as well . I went to the Drs as you are

Nebuliser servicing
Hi everyone, I am just wondering where people get their nebulisers serviced. I am just buying my own and like to be prepared ahead of time. I loan one at the moment from the hospital where I was seeing the consultant but he has just discharged me and it is nearly a 60 mile round trip to that hospital

Reaction to Ventolin.
This is a problem i have come across today, after taking ventolin through the nebuliser my breathing got worse and my face and eyes started to swell up. I had my doubts before but today was enough for me. Is this a common reaction or is it just me. What else is there. bar more steroids.
