Persisting burning sensation and fatigue following LDBT
My husband has now hit the 10 days mark of this low dose
brachytherapy
. A total of 114 seeds were implanted in his prostate. He initially experienced frequent urinary trips to the bathrooms which were resolved by taking two Flomax a day.

After chemotherapy I will be having
Brachytherapy
radiation. 3 to 4 treatments, one treatment per week. If you’ve had this type of radiation I would be interested in hearing how it went for you.

Coming to terms with prostate cancer not easy
Looking into
brachytherapy
coupled with prior hormone therapy, and also Proton beam therapy if bone scan confirms cancer localised and not extracapsular. There is also the nanoknife or IRE option - available only in one private hospital in London (The Princess Grace Hospital).

Gleason 9 and had a kidney transplant 2 years ago
I have started hormone therapy and the medical team have proposed HDR
Brachytherapy
to minimise damage to my transplanted kidney, which is fairly low in the abdomen. My last PSA was 25.4. I have started a mostly vegan diet plus fish. Has anybody out there had a kidney transplant and got PCa?

Urologist recommended treatment, either surgery or HDR
Brachytherapy
. I chose HDR
Brachytherapy
at UCLA. I had my 1st treatment May 23, the 2nd and last treatment is scheduled on May 31. There was a lot of unexpected pain during the 1st treatment. I'm dreading having the 2nd treatment.

Brachytherapy: Most Effective Therapy?
What is the success rate for HD
Brachytherapy
? My husband has a Gleason score of 7 (3+4) T2b. Cancer is contained in the capsule. He was diagnosed back in Dec 2017. His PSA has been a steady 6.4. Hubby is 57 so we are looking for long-term surviving outcomes.

We look into
brachytherapy
, but the lack of options in the event brachy fails (hubby is 57) got us to reconsider that choice. So now my husband is considering doing hormone therapy as the FIRST option to lower his PSA and shrink the tumor (which is contained within the capsule).

Went to UCLA for high dose
brachytherapy
, Dr. said I was perfect candidate. But not, within six months my PSA had risen to 65. Plus my kidney had failed due to excess radiation damage from
brachytherapy
. Removed kidney, put on Lupron. Went to Germany for Dendritic immunotherapy.

Disappointed
Brachytherapy
induced stress incontinence which has slowly but not completely mended. PSA nadir of 1.2. After two years PSA has risen again to biochemical recurrence. I don’t want to do Lupron again. I’m thinking estradiol patch might be best for me.

Advanced prostate cancer (stage IV) newly diagnosed
He underwent
brachytherapy
in april 2015 and the psa fell to 1.27 but started rising in october (2.88). Gleason 7 (3+4). The doctor has prescribed him triptolerin and doesn´t want to treat him with radiation (too old). Concerned about the evolution.
