Prostate Cancer, Hemeriods and Brachytherapy
I had four consultations in London leading to
brachytherapy
on the 19/06/2017 at a London Hospital. Anaesthetised at 8.30. Came round at 11.30 to be told the
brachytherapy
could not proceed because of hemeriods and a prolapsed hemeriod.

Gleason 9 (5+4) 10+ years ago - widely metastatic cancer and running out of options!
He started ADT in late 2007 and had iodine
brachytherapy
in 2008. PSA rose rapidly after surgery. Combidex scan in Holland showed several lymph nodes were involved. IMRT with Dr. Dattoli in 2009 with ADT - PSA nadir near 0 six months after completing radiation.

Left too late
I eve had radiotherapy
brachytherapy
and chemotherapy, andif only they'd done the operation even six months earlier the cancer would have been caught really early or may not have turned to,cancer yet. I'm so unhappy at being told to do nothing and sent away to wait for another six months.

Eating regime and Zytiga
(I had
brachytherapy
in 2004, and attempted salvage surgery in 2012, and the combination of the two has resulted in very stiff and unforgiving scar tissue. As you will gather, both failed.)

Brachytherapy hopes of shrinking cancer!
But though this is a risk to her quality of life if done she wanted to get cancer in some kind of control with
brachytherapy
radiation internally next to tumour. Anyone had similar experience!

Treatment options for primary liver cancer
SIRT is also known as SIR-Spheres®, TheraSphere®, Yttrium 90, Y90 and
brachytherapy
.
Chemotherapy (e.g., sorafenib)
destroys cancer cells and stops the production of new cancer cells by using a variety of chemicals.

Low PSA (Less than 2 ng/ml) but high Gleason (9) cancer which spread to liver
ADT (degarilex) and radiation (
brachytherapy
and external beam) controlled everything for a while but in fall of 2016 the cancer spread through the lymph system to bones, lungs, and liver. I am now on chemotherapy (doxitaxil and carboplatin) along with ADT.

Ok, time to deal with this!
Haven't made any final decisions but the more I read, the more I am leaning towards
brachytherapy
. It seems the least intrusive, quick recovery and hopefully fewer side effects.
