Chris Kamara and Things Thyroid
I found this interesting as he supported the thyroid care petition, and before that I didn’t even realise that he also had a thyroid problem. I remember also wondering myself about Alzheimers the other year as I didn’t know what was happening to me. https://amp.theguardian.com/football/2023/nov/04

Replacement therapy and TSH levels
I have primary hypothyroidism after RAI 35years ago.I feel good on 200mg with a surpressed TSH Meds have been reduced again and my TSH is on the way up it’s now 81.32% through the range. I know that for my condition my levels should be low TSH with high T4 Is there any research or papers I could

Ultrasound Results. What type of thyroid issue could this be?
Had an ultrasound on my neck after pain in lower neck and ear pain. Dr advised right side of thyroid is very inflamed and left side shriveled with one nodule and should have further blood tests. Heard nothing so chased after 4 weeks and have been given a telephone call with ENT. I've had two low thyroid

I’ve a 4cm goitre on my thyroid plus a lot of smaller nodules. Does this mean my thyroid is not working as well as it should? Im always so fatigued and have put on a stone although my eating habits having changed.

Hello everyone! I am diagnosed with hypothyroidism and take Levothyroxine 100mg. I don't feel well at all, but I also have other health problems: lupus, Sjogren's, Henoch's purpura, neutropenia... I have a lot of symptoms and pains that I don't know where they are coming from, but fibromyalgia and depression

Graves Disease and muscle weakness
Hi, it’s my first time posting here and I am wondering if anyone has had a similar experience to me or is able to offer me any advice based on their knowledge and own experience. I am a 40 year old mum of two children under 10 and first noticed that something was wrong early last year when I started

So very grateful for Thyroid UK
I just have to express my gratitude to this forum and the admins who give of their time to help us who are or have been floundering with NHS input (or lack of input+even dismissiveness of our thyroid journey) with regard to our thyroid and other connected issues. My son will be 48 this year and that’

help to understand test results
After a year of monitoring my TSH due to a bout of subacute thyroiditis, initially suspected as thyroid cancer. I am now at a point where my GP feels medication may be required and have undertaken an extensive range of blood tests through the GP I have an appointment on the 4th July to discuss options

Is thyroid causing my symptoms?
Hi all, I’m looking for some advice about my blood test results and whether thyroid issues could be the cause of my symptoms. Also if anyone can recommend a doctor in Cardiff / South Wales I’d really appreciate it. I’ve spent years trying to manage and believing (being told) my symptoms are due to anxiety

I had my scan today and they said it was nodular and asymmetric

Hi all, I have posted previously about being diagnosed hyperthyroid and started on Carbimazole, this was stopped due to persistent neutropenia, then i swung to hypothyroid and now 7 weeks later I’ve had another blood test and everything’s normal! I feel like I’ve been on a rollercoaster ride and thrown

Thyroid autoantibodies/TPO test results
I have primary hyperparathyroid disease and very low vit D. I'm waiting for a surgical referral, and I am waiting to have localisation scans. My thyroid TSH and T4 are within normal ranges, but this antibody test result is 68.7 (normal range is 0-9). Is this high or very high, please, and has anyone

New GP who understands thyroid!!
Private endocrinologist discharged me back to my surgery as he "could not" treat me with my TSH being back in range, positive TPO in the 300's & ultrasound showing small thyroid (ords) still highly symptomatic, saw another GP at the practice really to ask for a 2nd opinion. New GP listed my symptoms

Hello everyone, Just asking for some advice or thoughts as I have the thyroid antibodies but ‘normal thyroid’. The thyroid antibodies were found when my first private endo ran tests for my hypoPARA. I have been confused about what they are going to do about it as all they have said it ‘your thyroid

Original blood results
Good morning, I finally have the blood results that caused the doc to refer me to endocrinology and prescribe Carbimazole and Propranolol. There is a lot on this form. Please can you tell me what is relevant to diagnose thyroid issues and possibly Graves disease? I am happy to share any results but
