Throat/Glands Swelling Question
Hi All, Ever since my thyroid went out of balance, for the first time ever I've started to experience strange throat sensations: * Sore throat, like a cold coming, but no cold * A feeling of swollen upper neck glands when they are not really swollen in reality * Voice changes at times The thing

Digestive enzyme supplement suggestions
Can anyone recommend a good effective brand. All suggestions welcome. In the past I've used the Solgar Brand but I haven't noticed much difference. Likewise not much difference using Betaine HCI on its own either.

Paper on the design of B12 deficiency treatment protocols
This might be one of the most fascinating papers I've read on B12 deficiency and treatment, with several sections exploring how symptoms relate back to the particular biochemistry processes that go wrong in deficiency. The paper was produced in 2021 for the B12 Institute, Netherlands, a specialist B12

iron test results help please
I must admit that even after a few years, while I mostly understand my thyroid test results, my iron tests continue to confuse me - I just can’t seem to get my head around the significance of the different parts. So I wondered if someone who actually understands could please explain in really simple

Betaine HCl gave me more energy, but crazy IBS
I have made huge improvement on my thyroid and vitamin levels and still feeling fatigued all the time. Because I have acid reflux only at night, and so many of my vitamin levels are low despite a balanced diet, I figured I may have low stomach acid and would try Betaine. I also had noticed that my reflux

Silent Reflux filling ENT departments worldwide
I had a six month ENT follow-up today after scans and investigations six months ago and persistent sore throats (now resolved) which was diagnosed as silent reflux with a camera up my snorkel and down my throat showing red raw larynx at the time. Fabulously knowledgeable and open to discussion specialist

Review of Betine
Betaine -- also called betaine anhydrous, or trimethylglycine (TMG) -- is a substance that's made in the body. It's involved in liver function, cellular reproduction, and helping make carnitine. It also helps the body metabolize an amino acid called homocysteine. I often read about homocysteine yet

Does sore throat come with hypothyroidism and Hashi?
Hi All, I've had hypo for over 2 decades and manage it with thyroxine, diet, supplements and lifestyle. Never had any long-term sore throat issues, however it all started this February, when I went through a lot of stress, my thyroid went out of balance and I was struggling with increasing my meds

How can you confirm iron deficiency and identify the cause
Hi all, I’d love to get your opinion since you’re the most knowledgeable group I know. It’s been a really long journey and I think I’ve figured out why I’m out of breath all the time and tired (and many other symptoms) and I think it’s down to an iron deficiency. I thought it was b12 but I’ve been

Betaine HCL helps fatty liver?
I was diagnosed with NAFLD in 2016 and began researching the issue. I've had the markers of metabolic syndrome since young adulthood (55 now), which for me at least clearly has a genetic component. Anyway had my gallbladder out in my 40s, have done pretty well, but have had boughts of stomach pain,
