Medications for RLS recommendations
He mentioned on my last visit that he doesn't think the Gabepentin would be the drug that I should stay on but recommended
benzodiazepines
. After looking them up they sound as if they might be addictive too. He also finally ordered the right Ferritin test after ordering regular iron.

RSL and clonazepam
This has worked for me for years but I certainly worry about the addictive nature of
benzodiazepines
. But I’m not giving it up. I’m 73 now and I will take it for as long as it works. I feel for anyone who cannot find an answer for this horrible condition.

I no longer know what is anxiety and what is my real problem
I suffered from anxiety most of my life and had long periods addicted to
benzodiazepines
, breakdowns, and lots of stress, and since 1995 atrial fibrillation.

Just wondering what the consensus is here on the long term use of one of the
benzodiazepines
such as klonopin, Ativan or Xanax for anxiety and depression. If you have experienced favorable or unfavorable and at what dosage. I find them very helpful but I know the threat of addiction. Any thoughts?

Two types of drugs you may want to avoid for the sake of your brain: Anticholinergic drugs and Benzodiazepines
Benzodiazepines
boost another neurotransmitter's effectiveness. They make gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA)—which slows the activity of neurons in the brain-—more potent. For that reason, they are used to calm anxiety and help people sleep. Thanks SilentEchoes

Can't solve real bad anxiety issues. Meds out there?
Right of the bat I can't take
benzodiazepines
. They just don't agree with me, and I need something to take every day, like the concept of taking an ssri (not "as needed"). I'm on one ssri (trintellix).

Sleepless in Seattle
I finally asked my doctor if he could give me something Not in the realm of the
benzodiazepines
, but something more innocuous. He has prescribed trazodone. I’m finding some good reviews on it. Do any of you take trazodone to help you sleep? What are your thoughts? Thank you

Anticoagulants and diabetes drugs send a significant amount of adults ages 65 and older to the emergency room each year.
Younger adults, between the ages of 25 and 44, were more likely to experience medication harm related to the nontherapeutic use of medications including
benzodiazepines
and prescription opioids.

Doctor's are guaranteed to prescribe an uneffective medication for anxiety. Can anyone suggest a reliable online site for anxiety meds?
I've tried the four subcategories of antidepressants, mood stabilisers, and frankly the only medication that is effective, and is immediately effective is
benzodiazepines
, alas the doctors in the 21st century I very reluctant to prescribe such a drug, because they have never experienced anxiety themselves

HELP!
The only thing that actually does help,
benzodiazepines
, the doctors won’t prescribe. I’m freaking out though and feel like I want to die. I don’t know how I’m going to get through the night. 😭😭😭

Benzodiazepines Half Life
I would like to take a low dose clonazepam / Klonopin pill 0.25mg tonight, but the long half life freaks me out. I don’t want to be out of it tomorrow or the next day. Any advice?

A very blank mind and OCD
My medical treatment for my OCD has included antidepressants and
benzodiazepines
, with no illegal drugs neither alcohol consumption. However, my symptoms over the past few months are not related to my typical OCD symptoms.

Encephalopathy
The way I caught it was metabolic - I had taken some
benzodiazepines
. This was a year ago. The first two months I can’t remember a thing - I was in Cambodia, and spent 2 weeks in hospital. Then 4 months in the QE, then 6 months in a brain injury rehab.

How difficult have you found it trying to access psychiatrist?
My surgery referred me back to MH services regarding the tablets I'm on, my dependence on Benzodiazepine's and general mental health. I called the MH department myself on Friday and the lady I spoke with just said that from what she could see I'd been referred back to my GP with a recommendation regarding
