Nausea with Azilect (rasagiline)
Hwp started
Azilect
a week ago and is quite nauseous from the med. Does the nausea get better with time? Have you found ways to mitigate this side effect that worked for you? Thank you in advance!

Call for a more complete vitamins blood testing, especially b6.
This despite the initial effectiveness of the standard medication L/C (increased from 400/40 in a relatively short time to 1000/130) +

Grapefruit & Azilect safe together?
Grapefruit and
Azilect
(MAO-B) safe interaction? Getting mixed input on web search. Looking at some supplements, and occasionally grapefruit pops up in the ingredients. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks!

Hey people, I wonder if any of you can share some advice, ideas or insights here: My father, who’s 76 years old, suffers from Parkinson’s for the last 1.5 years and is treated with Rasagiline (
Azilect

Azilect, how much of a difference does it mark on your symptoms? Have you ever stopped then restarted? Please help me!
Please, if you are taking
Azilect
, how much of a difference have you experienced? I’m trying to determine how much of my improvements to attribute to
Azilect
. I’m really grateful for any feedback on its effectiveness!

MAOB inhibitors compared : Rasagiline compared to Selegiline
I recently posted about substantial evidence of Selegiline being Neuroprotective whereas
Azilect
is less likely to be.

C/L question
I started on
Azilect
, then Selegiline, which was of no help. I stayed on Selegiline hoping it was somehow helping my brain. My initial experience with c/l (25/100), 3 half tablets a day, was nothing short of frightening. After the 3rd dose, I couldn’t walk.

Increasing Sinemet and Nourianz
Basically my mom has been on the same sinemet dose since diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2016 (1 sinemet every four hours and 1
azilect
). So my moms doctor has prescribed nourianz and increased her sinemet from 1 tablet (25-100) every four hours to 1 1/2 tablet every four hours.

Rasagiline/Azilect intolerance? To stop or not to stop?
Has anyone here taking rasagiline/
Azilect
as PD primary MONOTHERAPY initially had nasty side-effects (flu-like symptoms, dizziness, headache, nausea and feeling sad etc.) but found those side-effects disappeared on continued use of the drug?

Azilect
I’ve been on
Azilect
for the past 3 years. During this period I also took Rasagiline for 2 months with bad side effects. Now out of the blue the doctor has said he’s never prescribed
Azilect
and I have to take a generic Rasagiline. Even though I have side effects from it.

First year I was on
Azilect
1mg which I tolerated well, but it didn't do much for my symptoms. Since 2 years I take Madopar 200/50 half a tablet 4 x per day. I don't have much problems with tremors but stiffness and balance problems and a really annoying stammer which is getting worse.
