Azilect

i sense my forgetfulness is lifting since i weaned myself from first pramipexole then Azilect and lately Sinemet.

Also I was taking the Azilect in the evening and she switched that to the morning. (I know other treatments exist but I love the clinic I go to and I'm playing by their rules alone.) I got my Handy Capped placard so I can use those parking places now.

Just started with Azilect. I read somewhere that it does not help with tremors. I have hand shaking mostly right hand and just wondered what results others have had with this. Are there any side effects? Thank you. Wil J

It lasts between 6 and 10 times longer in the body than the other MAOIs used for PD - Azilect (Rasagaline) and Selegeline. Safinamide is much more complex than either of these other two MAOIs as it also affects sodium and calcium plus glutamate .

was on Azilect only until about 12 months ago. My PD spec put me on levodopa/carbodopa 12 mo ago.started with 1/2 tablet 2x day. Now up to 4 tabs per day basically every 4 hour plus generic azilect.

Five months ago, my neurologist added Carbidopa/Levo to my Azilect and Ropinerole. Everything became easier for me, and everyone notices my more fluid movement. What they don't see is my jaw-clenching and persistent hand and foot movement. I'm guessing these are side-effects of the new meds.

Dropped Azilect in agreement with the doctor . Any tricks for the fatigue?

Both these I can live with, however my Neuro is pushing me towards one mg of azilect, suggesting it will change my life! I'm reluctant to start meds if I can manage without. anyone have experience of reluctantly starting azilect and how was it!? Ta

Now, I'm wondering if the name brand Azilect fomulation helped sustain the CD/LD in a way this generic cannot. Anyone else taking CD/LD and the generic rasagilene noticing this?

On Azilect. Have to move b/c landlord kicking me out so her daughter can move in. Where should I move? Symptoms are fatigue, anxiety,slowness. Manageable for now.they are in Indiana. I am in Florida. What few friends I have are in Florida. Couple more friends who live out of state.

I am 71 years old, been diagnosed 5 1/2 years Started out on Azilect and Requip. Never really felt great on this but my neurologist wanted to keep me on the least amount of medication for as long as possible.

I have PD and am currently taking Azilect, Ropinerole, and Carbidopa/levidopa. I am very active, but lifted a heavy object yesterday and have painful muscle spasms in my lower back. Can I take a muscle relaxer - Carisoprodol - which is leftover from a spinal fusion I had before going on PD meds?

Doctor has me on azilect and pramipexole. He has wanted me on sinemet for quite some time but I have prolonged due to worry of long term side effects. Biggest affliction is the stiffness and rigidity. Is it worth taking and are others helped by it?

Im 6mo diagnosed pd taking mannitol, nac and 1 mg azilect. Am considering adding macuna powder for mild tremor. Is it safe interaction wise? How much powder would be an appropriate dosage? Thanks to all

My husband is now 4 months diagnosed with PD, and has been taking 1mg of Azilect for 2 months. We've heard and read conflicting dietary restrictions, including that dietary restrictions have been lifted?!! Would love to hear others experiences and how to handle foods.

I have a family member who is petrified that he will get dyskinesia if he takes CL for a long time...so He has gradually stopped taking CL and is trying Azilect. Anyone have any words of wisdom for us?

I responded very well to Azilect but it's effects seemed to lessen after 6 months. So I added 6 mg of Requip but after only 3/4 months, my slowness returning with force.

Was wondering what night time cold meds are safe to take with the above Meds? Thank you.

I was worried when I got to the pharmacy this past Tuesday and they told me they had filed my prescription with a generic form of azilect. After taking it for a couple of days, it seems to work no differently.

When ones stop taking Azilect, do you recommend stopping it cold turkey or gradually like one day on and the next day you off.? I'm almost out of my samples. Azilect has helped but the generic may not be out until after Feb. Just wondering.
