Consider the options?
., one cycle of carboplatin (couldn't tolerate paclitaxel) and now on
Avastin
i/v and Olaparib. CA 9, which is fantastic. Side effects are just destroying me. I am 80, the Olaparib goes through to mid June 2026 and the

Hernia from debulking
Now on
avastin
maintenance every 3 weeks. In late February I developed incisional hernia. By march it was huge. Dr stopped
avastin
and sent me to a surgeon. Surgeon said he could not safely do it. Told me to wear a wrap. Do you have experience with this? I restarted
avastin
last week.

Self funding Avastin
Hello, my mum has been having
Avastin
self funded for approx 21 months now. It does seem to be working as everything has remained stable throughout this period. The question is, when does she stop? Shes gone past the recommended 22 cycles.

TRIALS
I received first line chemo +
Avastin
, interval, suboptimal surgery then commenced Olaparib.
Avastin
continued for the permitted time and Olaparib kept me progression free until July 2024. My oncologist offered chemo (Carbo/Caelyx) as my next option.

cisplatin
Hi, I was on Carboplatin,
Avastin
and Zem, but I got an allergic reaction from Carboplatin. My oncologist told me he will replace Carboplatin with Cisplarin for my 5 session. I am wondering if someone has been on Cisplatin and what’s yours experience with Cisplatin?

Update on side effects of Olaparib and Avastin
I am off the
Avastin
and the Olaparib. The side effects were growing daily. Now Watch and wait. I am so relieved. Two nights running, no sweats, no nightmares or vivid dreams, eagerly awaiting improvement in my ability to taste food and some more energy.

Avastin V Niraparib-clear cell cancer
I have been on
Avastin
alongside Carbo & Taxol from the start. I have suffered alot with headaches and a bloody nose. My oncologist does not think it is wise to continue
Avastin
& is considering Niraparib instead.

carbo/gem
I was diagnosed high grade stage 3c peritoneal in Autumn 2021, I have had carbo/taxol/
avastin
, debulking surgery. Followed by
avastin
alone which did not work, then carbo/caelyx which worked very well. I have had just over a year on Niraparib but sadly it is no longer working.

immunotherapy for OVCA
I had various chemo’s , radiation, and
Avastin
as treatment. Note:
Avastin
helped me stay on maintenance for a long time. Recently, my one tumor had grown, while the others stayed the same size. I just had a follow up CT scan to see how the immunotherapy was working.

4th round chemo worse since surgery, started feeling sick & stomach pains 😫
Hello lovely ladies I had 3 rounds of chemo along with
Avastin
& although I had many side effects, I was fortunate that sickness/nausea wasn't one of them. 5 weeks post interval surgery, I had round 4 (no
Avastin
this round) but tummy issues (swinging from diarrhea to constipation constantly) and nausea

What treatment for brain Mets?
My oncologist want to start me on
Avastin
to help shrink microscopic mets. Has anyone had that treatment? Also, I read that Xeloda might be able to get through the brain/blood barrier. Has anyone taken Xeloda with brain Mets? Many thanks. Helen

Gemcitabine and Avastin (no Carbo)
For my mom's second recurrence, the doctor suggested Gemcitabine and
Avastin
without Carbo, as she got kidney issues and potential liver mets with the last regimen with Carbo+Caelyx. Has anyone used Gem and
Avastin
without Carbo? Was it effective? Did you have any side effects?
