Update on side effects of Olaparib and Avastin

After a review with the onc team. I am off the Avastin and the Olaparib. The side effects were growing daily. Now Watch and wait. I am so relieved. Two nights running, no sweats, no nightmares or vivid dreams, eagerly awaiting improvement in my ability to taste food and some more energy.

I bet it's a relief just to get a good night's sleep. My situation was slightly different, as I was on Niraparib for 6 months after 2nd line treatment. Swapped to Rucaparib as my nausea and energy levels were compromised. However, slowly the Rucaparib affected my kidney function, which made the fatigue even worse.

So I decided it was better to come off tablets and improve my quality of life for the time being and if I need more treatment in the future, so be it.

Currently 15 months off the tablets, and 3 years NED since recurrence, with blood review and phonecall every 3 months.
