Metoprolol

Hello I am moving country, and I will be unable to get Metoprolol 25mg

It only comes in 100mg , it’s really not desirable to split into 4 , My EP wants me to stay on this dosage as it’s working and I’m highly sensitive to meds , last time med was changed ended up in the ER again with AFib

I’m thinking maybe a compounding chemist might help.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Depending on the country of course but usually there's a thing called International Pharmacy where you can get such drugs. They are often at airport, big train stations and big city centers.

I have the same issue and have to split mine into four pieces. It’s a small tablet, so a bit fiddly to do but it is possible. The 100 mg tablet is scored so that helps.

Hi

Because I had trouble with Metapolol I suggest you get a 24hr heart monitor to check it. Mine was not controlling my rapid heart rate, It was making me breathless. and my normal low Night pulse was 47avg bpm. It was causing

I was told by the public heart specialist that Bisoprolol was better for AFers and changed me over. Bisoprolol was tested the same way and HRate reduced only to 156. But no nreathless or pauses.

A private Heart Specialist was recommended and I was referred to him.

I've never looked back as I was controlled within 2 hours in early AM by CCB Calcium channel Blocker. Twinked down to 120 CD avg Day. I had Biso reduced down to 2.5mg Night for BP control.

But late last year Biso... was dropped because of low blood pressure.
