Osteoporosis caused by Imbruvica
Hi everyone: I was wondering if anyone has been told that taking Imbruvica resulted in osteoporosis. My oncologist has made this connection. I have been taking Imbruvica 420 for two years and now I am beginning Forteo injections. Many thanks. Be well. Ettie

Asthma
I had a very bad cold recently and it left me with with rather a lot of chest phlehm. Funnily enough my asthma did not get any worse. However to expel the phlegm I took two nebulisers a day of Ipramol and I find that my asthma has improved immensely. I was taking the Relvar every day(which I still do

PMR and Phlebitis Anyone?
HI All, I have had PMR since 2011 but was not diagnosed until 2012. I am one of those who do not show raised blood markers, but had a 'miraculous' recovery on a prednisone trial at 15 mg. I suffered a vertebral crush fracture in 2016 and I was on Forteo for a year, and have received once yearly IV

Think this is gonna be a long one... (cause it has been so far... 😅😴)
First up, I am an idiot 😅🙈. Monday, I decided that it was a good idea to sprint (whilst pulling a suitcase) the length of 8 train carriages and up/over/down a bridge (missed the train I was chasing by about 10 secs anyway) in the cold/damp weather... this situation was not my fault I hasten to add

It’s been a loooong night 😴😴
It all started Sunday when I woke with a cold which my gut told me was going to hit my chest. But it’s 10am and I’m just snotty and sinusy and a mild asthma issue. Treat it and reassure my mum (who’d I’d been visiting) I’m not bad enough for hosp. Make my 12 o’clock train and feel dodgy enough I need

New fast test for drug modality efficacy, no radiation, simple blood test.
Just had this test done after being on Prolia nightmare for 2 years, now on Forteo for 1.5 years with great sucess. This test allows rapid analysis of bone turnover, just had mine done and it proved out the efficacy of my current modality. disclaimer, I am male, but apparently that is not a factor in

Forteo
Hi, is anybody here taking forteo ? I have been on this drug for nearly a year and have gained weight around my middle. I keep getting told the drug has nothing to do with weight gain. As I had 3 fractures and 2 compression fractures which was treated by kyhoplasty surgery on them. I do have osteoporosis

Normal flora
Hi, glad to join. I have asthma and bronchiectasis following a chemical accident with ammonia 11 years ago. Whenever I have a “chest infection” my doctor sends off a sputum sample (before antibiotics started) but it always comes back as normal flora. My respiratory consultant says this is not a chest

Side effects
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same and looking for some advice. Last week I’d had three attacks in the space of a week that resulted in A&E treatment with salbutamol, atrovent, hydrocortisone, magnesium and pred tablets. I’ve had an attack free week and have finished the pred now

Post attack advice please
Hi all So Tuesday i ended up going to a+e on blues and twos from my GP surgey. This is the first time it's happened. I know I grumbled about the asthma care I've received from my surgery but to be fair to them, they were brilliant. I had been struggling for a few days and using my ventolin A LOT.

Hi all. My asthma has been really bad for 5 weeks now. Hospital admission for a week. Back on high dose steroids after a 2 day break. I saw my gp yesterday and she said to increase nebulisers. I was having 5ml salbutamol every 4 hours including through night. And 3 atrovent daily. Plus symbicort
