This week, we hear from FACES of Narcolepsy founder Erin Carey's - this is a truly inspiring story of love, support and fearless devotion. -------- I created FACES of Narcolepsy in 2017 when I joined forces with four other moms from across the U.S. to fill a need in the pediatric narcolepsy community

New Here — Most Recent Arrhythmia
Hi, all — I initially posted this to the Afib Forum but just found this group, which seems more appropriate. I was experiencing episodes of tachycardia sometimes lasting up to a half hour or so. Being a non-cardiologist, my first thought was Afib and, indeed, that’s what my Apple Watch said. I ended

Dofitilide without Afib??

Is Afib linked to anxiety ?
Hi HU'ers. This article discusses the similarity between afib and anxiety. The conclusion is interesting. 'Although chronic stress can affect your cardiovascular health, there isn’t enough evidence to suggest that anxiety causes AFib' I don't entirely agree with that but let's agree to disagree

Are there any clinical trials currently using mRNA technologies to fight PC?
Still in the fight 13 years out using SBRT for tumors and Lupron and Xtandi for system wide control currently. Just wondering if there are any trials out there using mRNA technologies to harness the human immune system in the fight. Seems like a logical next step.

Thought I would give an update as to my personal study of my AF. For those that have not been following my posts, I consciously decided not to take medications for my AF so I could study the beast by trying alternatives to medications. One of my earliest thoughts was to set up a citizen science website

AF and now coronary artery disease at 47. I recently had a CT angiogram and the results aren’t great. Back to being scared and worried.
So I first came on this forum with my Afib diagnosis and was terrified and depressed about the diagnosis and medications. I had good news from my echocardiogram as I had no damage at all. The last hurdle was a CT angiogram sadly I’ve not made it so well past this hurdle. I’m absolutely gutted to be honest

Beat Prostate Cancer
I was reading some clinical trial data the other day. To summarize, the treatment being tested did not pass muster. It worked marginally better than standard of care but not well enough to change standard of care. The irony of the study concerned overall survival and progression free survival. The control

📚 Research 101: Placebos
A placebo is a sugar pill that does not cause harm or good. In many trials testing an investigational medication, a proportion of the people recruited will receive a placebo without knowing if they are receiving the investigational medication or the placebo. [u]
