What to do next after RP and RT?
“Is there a proven benefit to continuing ADT if you have high risk PCa even if your PSA is undetectable after RP and RT?” I was diagnosed in November 2017 at age 68 after my PSA was found to be 45.5. Biopsy found Gleason 4+5=9, later confirmed by prostate pathology. Bone scan negative. CT scan showed

Mid point in 3 prong treatment
AS for 7 yrs. Change in situation in August: 3+4, PSA 22, non palpable DRE; localized. Two uros, 2 radiation oncologists, and internist all recommended treatment. Each, of course, recommended his area of expertise. Uro=surgery. Radiation = radiation. Shocking! LOL ADT (Firmagon and then Lupron;

PSMA Scan at NIH Day 1 of 2
I was fortunate enough to get into the Clinical Trial for the F18 DCFPyL PSMA Pet Scan at NIH. I have had no prior ADT or Chemo ever and my PSA was 0.7 which met the qualification for the trial. (RP in 2011, IMRT in 2015, BCR 02/2018). Today was day 1 of 2 with the actual PSMA Pet Scan tomorrow. This

PSA Velocity
PSA velocity - I'm post SRT along with IMRT ( 40 hits ) Started Lupron on 5/2/17 was on it for about 1 yr - the last injection was 2/2018 All along that time my PSA was Nidar Just had a PSA test on 12/17/2018 - and it was .19 So that could mean a 14 basis point increase if Nadir is .05 or less. In term

Question - residual PSA after treatment
Hello - new to the site. Had RP, then salvage RT with 1 yr of ADT ( Lupron ) fall 2017 - IMRT at SMK. For the entire yr, PSA was non-detectable... 12/17/18 PSA is .19 ---- I'm freaking out - but I do a lot of that, just in my DNA. I could never understand why any residual PSA was looked at as the most

Stopping clenil modulite
Hi, I have had nosebleeds which is something that I've never had before and a depressed feeling. I'm cutting down and stopping Clenil over the next week, also looking for a natural remedy although I feel ok and I have my blue inhaler for those cold days. Blue inhaler is the thing I used for years by

Radiation Proctitis and Anal Sex?
Three years after IMRT to the prostate and pelvic lymph nodes I had a colonoscopy and the report contained images of the procedure, two of which that showed the rectum were labeled 'radiation proctitis'. The images depicted what appear to be small red 'spider veins' and a larger area of uniformly red

4 year old with suspected Asthma
Have been following the forum with great interest so hoping that I could get some advice for my 4 year old son. He was first diagnosed with viral-induced wheeze back in February of this year after being admitted to paediatric A&E. He was given a Salbutamol inhaler and a course of prednisolone. We thought

8 years since dx, doing well ...
Hi, I'm new here, brief history of my prostate cancer is below. My cancer has been kept under control with very low dose casodex since psa recurrence, so I'm grateful for that. Casodex monotherapy for high risk pca patients is not the standard treatment, however it's working for me, at least until now

Will the need to clear my throat go?
I have been struggling to keep my CVA under control this past month. Saw the asthma nurse yesterday (earliest appointment I could get). She changed my preventer from Clenil Modulite to a MART inhaler, Fostair (beclometasone and formoterol). I used it last night and had an uninterrupted night's sleep.

PRE-ZYTIGA LUPRON PSA DIDN'T DROP MUCH
Greetings, Everyone. My husband checked in with Dr. Matthew Smith at Mass General yesterday to get a PSA test and see how things are going--see history below. We asked what PSA he hoped to see since my husband restarted Lupron again three months ago. His answer was "around 2 then hopefully going to

My dad fought to the end 💔
Yesterday, November 20th, Heaven gained an angel and we lost the most precious, loving, strongest, most irreplaceable man in my and my mom’s life. I am drowning in a sea of emotions. Am I angry? Yes. Am I sad? That doesn’t even begin to describe it. The blessing is we were with him at the hospital
