A Case of Violent Suicide Attempt in a Context of Myxedema Psychosis following Radioiodine Treatment in a Patient with Graves' Disease
We have seen so many patients on this forum who have pitched from hyperthyroidism to hypothyroidism - whether due to an
antithyroid
medicine like carbimazole, radio-active iodine or surgery. And the reaction of the medics has so many times appeared to be surprise.

Graves’ disease, in remission since May 2018 but in lots of pain
In May 2018, my endocrinologist suggested that I stopped taking the
antithyroid
tablets because my thyroid levels had been within the normal range for months, and I did so.

antithyroid
peroxidase antibodies were sky high (>1500) Since having my daughter my TSH levels have been all over the shop but seem to have finally stabilised.

Thyroid results - need help in understanding what the results mean.
TSH 0.31 (0.55-4.78) FT3 4.2 (3.5 - 6.5) FT4 11.7 (10 -18.7)
Antithyroid
Peroxidas Antibodies 28 (0-28) As you can see my TSH is the only one that is not within range. Also thought it was unusal that both T3 and T4 are on the low end of normal. Any guidance is much appreciated.

I should have had it much sooner as my symptoms ( all 1000)) of them raged on even with
Antithyroid

Test results-help interpreting please!
iii) The >sign before
antithyroid
antibody results, does this mean that they are higher than this? The last time I had this test was over a year ago when they were >1500. So it is positive that they are reduced, if indeed this is what that means.

Accidentally ate gluten
Hello, I have Hashimotos with high
antithyroid
antibodies and have been gluten free for 18 months. I do feel a lot better for it, no more brain fog and other unpleasant symptoms. Today I had gravy with gluten by mistake (wrong jug) and didn't notice until afterwards.
