Effect of low endogenous testosterone
PSA now at 7.9. Biopsy showed 1 sample was Gleason 8. Starting ADT and radiation soon. Have had low testosterone (<150 ng/ml) most of my life. Non-existent libido, depression and tired most of the time. Recent studies have shown that aggressive prostate cancer more common in people with low testosterone

Vacation time again
I had the follow up appt with my MO. My PSA is down a notch to 0.2. We decided to follow the original plan of intermittent ADT and I’m starting another ADT vacation. This round of ADT had started with minimal SE’s but in the last month or so it’s gotten worse. My energy level has noticeably decreased

Treatment Update
Since July 2022 I have been on Lupron after a 9 month break. During the entire time my testosterone remained < 20. My PSA remained nearly constant at 0.30. 10/17/22 0.286 1/20/23 0.321 4/24/23 0.294 If PSA has gone even by small amount, my MO would have ordered PSMA CT

so scared
My husband, 60, just got an MRI report that stated aggressive metastatic prostate carcinoma >15 that spread to bladder and anus walls. We have an appointment with the urologist in 3 days. This feels so hopeless. Symptoms have been difficulty urinating mostly. PSA ranging 5-7 over the past month. IS THERE

blood in urine
I’m a 55 year old male. I have a history of kidney stones. I have passed one stone per year for the last 5 years. Two episodes were with severe pain but three of them there was less or no pain. All though had blood in urine. January 2023 I saw blood in the urine. Ultrasound and X-ray show stones

Waiting time for Xofigo after failed Lu177 PNT2002 ?
On the day before my 3rd infusion of Lu177 PNT2002, my bone scan shows increase in size of my old mets and numerous new mets. It is obvious that the Lu177 didn't work in my case. Meanwhile the PSA kept rising from 23 to 41 in 4 weeks. On, 3-21-23, I have declined the 3rd shot of Lu177 PNT2002. I kicked

No BT for those with Urinary Issues?
I was told by my Radiation Oncologist that SBRT was preferable over BT for me
because of
the urinary flow and urgency issues that I presently have had for the last 10 years. I take alfusozin for some minimal control. Is this considered true? Although I am only a G3+3 with a single core presence

Hey everyone, just discovered this site. Great info and support. I had RP in August of 2022. First psa test was 0.1, month later psa 0.8 month later psa 0.22 Psa remained at 0.22 for next 3 months. My urologist who did RP said it could be "reactive lymph nodes". A CT scan and bone scan revealed nothing

Triplet Regimen vs Clinical Trial (Pluvicto)
I was recently diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer with diffuse bone metastases (March 20th). I met with my oncologist at Sloan Kettering on March 23rd and received my first hormone treatment (Degarelix). My PSA has already dropped from 189 to 23.89, and I had my second hormone treatment, which was

hdr bt or sbrt
just been diagnosed with Gleason 3-4 with 10 out of 18 positive cores. Psa is 3.9. Trying to decide between sbrt or hdr bt . Can anyone explain their side effects as I am concerned about urinary and erection problems . I was considering Hifu but it seems not as effective

Is there hope? I’m dreading asking the question of “how long”…
My father was diagnosed in September ‘23 with a PSA in the 900s. It had already metastasized throughout his body in several parts of his bones (ribs, spine, hips, femur and a spot at the base of his skull) but no organs had been affected other than his prostate. We were hopeful when it began to climb

Nubeqa vs Abiraterone for post Docetaxel maintenance?
Thanks to the many on this board that offered suggestions I will soon complete a slightly modified triple therapy of ADT+ABI+Docetaxel. My challenges with side effects included eliminating Tylenol and reducing ABI for one cycle; and then, switching from 1000mg ABI on empty stomach to 250mg ABI+ 10mg

Thoughts on switching from firmagon to lupron
I have been on firmagon and zytiga since December 2021. I seem to be tolerating both well (normal effects of fatigue, loss of strength, some foggiest). Liver and kidney numbers are goo and PSA is undetectable. Recently, after each firmagon shot, I get body aches and feel bad for about a day-but even

RO Advice for Salvage Rad
One of the ROs I've had a consult with wants to do salvage rad soon (Post-RP PSA is north of 0.1). However, he wants do the SRT w/o ADT. His rationale is that if we do ADT concurrently, there's no way to tell if the SRT was working. Plus, he says that if the SRT fails, then I'll be in the same boat
