Another ignorant GP - "is PA forever?" he asked
I wish I had recorded the conversation with the trainee GP this morning, he asked me if Pernicious
Anaemia
was forever and when could I expect to stop the injections? He also asked how I was managing with self injection.

Supplements
Hi lovely people. Just a question. In the past, I have had v low iron, folate rock bottom and prob other vitamins low that I never had checked. I have worked a lot on my micro biome/gut this past year plus supplementing continuously. I cut out gluten as leaky gut was diagnosed through a test.

B12/B9 balance
However, if I take too much folic acid or take a higher dose for too long, I again get signs of
anaemia
. It seems to me that B12 and B9 need to be properly balanced.

And my private Endo

My daughter's Iron panel results
Hello, Could I have help please with these results for my daughter? What does the overall pattern seem to suggest?
Iron
-good and no need to supplement?
TIBC and UIBC
are a bit alarming, but that may be because I don't understand the implications.
Transferrin

Anyone tried Sulbutiamine to help with fatigue etc?? If so how did you get on??
Just had a broad spectrum blood test as I still feel like I have just been dug up from the local cemetery … Everything seems fine (Liver, kidneys, B12, adrenals, they even mentioned my bones) … But I (As most of us poor lot do) feel like crap, and utterly fatigued .. Now I’m looking into some stuff like

potential endo diagnosis
I’ve also had numerous blood tests to look for
anaemia
amongst other things due to being so tired and bruising easily. I never thought to connect these issues or the fact that I’ve always had heavy and then horrendously painful periods as I just assumed a bowel issue was more likely.

Vitamin B12 produced by gut bacteria modulates cholinergic signalling
I simply can't help but think that this has some relevance to Pernicious
Anaemia
. But goodness knows what! And the lack of access precludes reading it all to try to find out.

low folate again
Hi, I was wondering if folate levels stay low over a long period of time and neurological symptoms occur can this cause long term effects? Can it be irreversible? My folate has been low for years despite supplementing either prescription for 3 months then on to multivitamins and eating well, my b12 deficiency

Chillblains
I have SLL and recently have had a few occurrences of Chillblains, my son is a Consultant Haematologist and tells me haematological malignancy is a common link and this paper links it to SLL, https://bmcdermatol.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12895-015-0032-z. I can cope with this keeping hands

Starting Levo. B vitamin supplementation without b12.
I’m due to start levothyroxine today and I want to optimise its effects by supplementing. I’m having monthly injections of Vit D and B12. I cannot take B12 orally as it causes nausea. Anybody know a good B supplement without B12? Also I eat a lot of foods containing B12 so hopefully that and a monthly

b12 iron relationship?
Hi friends…I was diagnosed with a b12 deficiency in June, which is thankfully improving with injections (I had horrible neuro symptoms). I had my iron tested twice over the summer, both well in the good range (over 100). However, this week I had an iron panel showing my iron is 40 (literally the bottom

Macrocytic anemia returned
Hi all, I’m interested to hear about your experiences with different forms of B12 injections to see if you’ve find some forms ineffective compared to others. For some background, I found out I had macrocytic anemia due to B12 deficiency around 2016 and have been injecting monthly or so ever since. I
