What do you think is in a cigarette ????
Ammonium Hydroxide Essentially
ammonia
in water. There is some evidence that
ammonia
reacts with tobacco to free the nicotine, making it more accessible to the bloodstream (manufacturers dispute this).

Nicotine Addiction ! Interesting article on why it is hard to stop AND why its worth it .
It's helped along by the addition of
ammonia
to your smoky treat. Besides the fact that cigarette manufacturers have done everything in their power to make it as hard as possible to quit smoking, there are some other factors that go into it as well.

Intolerance to bakers' yeast as well as gluten?
I had a bad experience with some GF bread in the early days, where it chemically decomposed on me - 24 hours after opening it smelled like a
ammonia
factory.

Mixing bleach and urine - is this the cause of asthma?
The mix of urine (containing
ammonia
) and bleach reacts to give off a small dose of Chloramines which we breathe in and which causes the damage to our lungs. Repeated regularly the damage becomes significant. Our damaged/weakened lungs become less hardy and more sensitive to our environment.

Really bad memory and concentration.
I have made an appointment to see my GP and hope to have my
ammonia
levels tested as I have read that they can become high if the liver is not functioning properly and cause poor concentration etc. Has anyone else got this problem?34
