Which BP medication should I ask my doc for?
I been through many different BP medications. I started many years ago with Lisinopril, but got the classic cough. Moved to Amlodipine, then Candesartan, then Indapamide, back to Amlodipine, Lercanidipine and now back on Indapamide. Each worked to reduce my BP, but each had side effects I wasn't happy

Prescribed Amlodipine
I have recently been prescribed Amlodipine for high blood pressure , I was told to take it for a month & then make another appointment to see the doctor. I haven’t started taking it yet, I am to be honest, afraid, after reading the leaflet side effects section, example, 1 in 10 have reported palpitations

medical therapy not worked
hello I’ve been posting about this med - diltiazem- as it was a last chance with very little hope of surgery being done (rarely if at all done in UK). I gave it 16 days and from day 2 it did nothing for my angina, brought on chest tightness at rest and side effects of headaches, flushing (few times

unstable angina
Hi I have been in and out of hospital since December with unstable angina. I am currently waiting for my 3rd angiogram so they can try drilling the blockage and fit a stent. 100 percent blocked right coronary artery double vessel disease. I am on so many tablets that I feel, like a zombie. Lisinopril

Resistant Hypertension
Never had hypertension before starting Zytiga. BP and pulse rate. increased. Taking 5mg prednisone a day. MO reluctant to increase. Can't find study to back up increasing prednisone. Fair BP and pulse rate control on bisoprolol, losartan and amlodipine. Doing so well on Zytiga, really rather not

Unexpected A&E visit
After being mainly angina free since August last year had a horrible episode today which 3 doses of nitrate spray didn't resolve. Phoned my orbita trial doc at basildon to ask for advice. Upshot be advised my to go to A&E and liased with cardio docs at broomfield. Pretty seamless experience after bloods

Amlodipine as an addition to losartan
I was also on losartan at 50mg and my consultant added the amlodipine for an evening dose. How did I feel ? Pretty awful ! Advised to stick with it and in fairness after about 6- 8 weeks the side affects had reduced and gone completly by weeks.. Not a pleasant experience. Bottom line is my bp is around

Hi all, Haven't posted in a while, so here's an update. I had a thyroidectomy 18 months ago, with no RAI due to ongoing saliva issues. Up until about 3 weeks ago I was doing well on 137.5mg Levo, good energy levels and feeling pretty good. Since then I've been lacking energy, feeling a bit down. and

Amlodipine, Atorvastatin, Asprin - stomach problems
Hi, was given these meds for suspected angina whilst waiting for echo, 48 hr ecg and angiogram. I have been taking for a week but am suffering with regular stomach cramps and lack of appetite. Could it be all giving of them giving me side effects or is one the likely suspect? I will try and contact

progressive increasing of diltiazem dosage
hello I will be put back on diltiazem XL soon (not my favourite, I felt generally ill with no effect on chest pain and made my HBP uncontrolled as in higher) and I assume off amlodipine. This is to bring rate down to 60 and progressive levels will be tried until they work or not. I am committed
