Side effects Amiodarone Warfarin Amilofruse
He also seems confused, not always but occasionally and I’m unable to rationalise with him, I wondered if this could be side effects of medication
Amiodarone
and a water tablet Co-Amilofruse. He has also started on Warfarin. Any advice or is it early days. Many thanks x

I am taking 100mg

Little update
Some of you might recall my posts last year regarding my OH - he had ablation in Nov 2018; he’d been taking
Amiodarone
which caused lung damage; he had bronchial pneumonia in August; followed by shingles!

Headaches (Severe)
Prior to my last Cardio Version in October 2019 I started taking
Amiodarone
in addition to Bisoprolol and and due to continue until September 2020. However, in November I went into Tacycardia with resting rate as low as 37bpm and the Bisoprolol was stopped.

Before 2nd cv 10 days ago (on
amiodarone
) I was breathless and tired all time. After cv my af is back after 4 days yet I feel great. Wonder if it’s the medication on or it actually did something when they converted me. I worry when they take me off

I’ll go back to feeling rubbish.

? Any advice would be appreciated.

Amiodarone
Sorry it’s me again Just rung up to chase my cardioversion to find my cardiologist has recommended an urgent cardioversion but he wants me to be on
amiodarone
pre cardioversion. I am scared as I have read how bad it is. Is this unusual to take this first.

Caution with drugs
They used two drugs on him that apparently should not be used for Parkinson’s one was a calcium channel blocker the other was
amiodarone
commonly used for heart arrhythmia these drugs block dopamine receptors My poor husband was on them two months before a nurse friend researched his drugs and found

Good news got date for 2nd cardioversion
Obviously it’s the
amiodarone
causing it , will it just go back to normal once I’m off
amiodarone
or does it permanently damage the thyroid ?

Palpitations after cardioversion
I’m still on all medications prior to cv which is
amiodarone
, frusomide spironactalone, diltizem, losartan and rivaoxaban so could it be one of the drugs causing it? I’m feeling them constantly. My heartbeat has dropped I’m guessing that’s tablets. My feet still swollen in the morning.

Bisoprolol and missed/irregular beats
Following major heart surgery a few months ago I had a lot of tachycardia that was initially controlled with
amiodarone
. When I stopped taking this, the tachycardia came back but has since more or less disappeared.

Day 4 post ablation
I’m sleeping well, which is much better than the restless sleep I was having pre ablation, I’m not sure if this is due to coming off the
Amiodarone
or the ablation. I felt fairly normal in the first couple of days but that has turned into feeling washed out from day 3.

Any experience of Amiodarone? The potential side effects sound frightening.
I'm now down for a cardioversion on Sunday (3 other appts have been cancelled so far) and I'm wondering, if it's not successful, whether
amiodarone
would be worth asking for. Thanks to anyone with thoughts or experience on this.
