Trial of eConsult service

I went to pick up my prescription for levo this morning. I take 75mg. The pharmacy had given me 2 boxes of Teva 50mg and 3 boxes - 1 each of 25mg Wockhardt, Mercury and cant remember the other. I need to take 50+25 together to make up the 75mg so rejected the prescription and will chat to GP about

Advice following update from NHS endocrinologist
Hi. greygoose SlowDragon I’d be grateful of your thoughts on this response from the endocrinologist, after my NHS GP referred onward as she felt I should not be treated with levothyroxine citing making my bones brittle etc. What am I best to do now? Private endocrinologist? Will they just take the same

No luck with GP
Hello you knowledgeable lot Armed with your advice i had a telecon with GP yesterday having requested by econsult a rise in levo from 75 to 100. I was quite upset (or much ruder words) by the end. He was at home and clearly had two small children with him chattering and playing which I found hugely

Hashimoto's remission
Hello, is it possible to put your antibodies (TgAb and TPOAb) into remission (i.e zero) on Levothyroxine only, following a root cause approach to lifestyle? Has anyone achieved this, or is NDT required? TIA

Levo taken at night
Need to book with Medichecks...last test with them I was taking my Levo 100mg in the mornings. Some months ago I changed to evenings...it suits me better as I can take it at a certain/the exact time as previously it sometimes became a bit haphazard. Question...last test I had to miss the morning one

Help new to this.
Really struggling. Started feeling unwell post Covid November 2023. Fatigued to the point of feeling like wading through treacle. Weight gain. Severe pain in shoulder and right heel to the point can’t walk some days. Ectopic heart beats that left me dizzy and faint. Constipation. And strange feeling

Back to life thanks to this forum! GP Next steps though - further levo increase?
You've been so helpful. Your collective knowledge has led to a diagnosis of (ords) hashimotos, my levo being upped to 75mg and I'm pain free for the first time in 5 YEARS! Thank you. I feel alive again. I armed myself with printed NICE guidelines and facts/ research and GP didn't resist this time and

Speaking to GP tomorrow - which symptoms should I emphasise
I think I am undermedicated with results: Serum TSH level 2.41 mIU/L [0.27 - 4.2] Serum free T4 level 16.7 pmol/L [12.0 - 22.0] Especially as I forgot and took my 50 levothyroxine an hour before the test (numpty) They are against me being on levothyroxine as I can't have any symptoms at that TSH

Is Splitting A Tablet Right Or Wrong?
I started getting more powder than I previously had done when splitting my 50’s Levo in half, so a while back I bought a 7 day container and added them to it as I show below. 50/100/50/100/50/100/75mcg. The other day when I saw the doctor about something else I happened to mention my Levo and he said

Feeling dreadful
Has anyone stopped levothyroxine and know how long it takes to clear your system if you were on 125 daily. Can't wait for endo appointment next month.

T3 (Cytomel): How would you fit it in these results? Or would you? And all the mistakes I have made on this journey
Latest results (overjoyed to be finally here) - TSH .74 (.32 to 4) T4 14 (9 to 19) T3 4.2 (2.6 to 5.8) I am on 262.5 mcg levothyroxine (Note: In 50s so 50×5 & 1/4 of a 50) I feel what I would deem pleasantly okay. Always have felt the best on NDT, but I needed so much I could no longer afford it. And

My levels
Hi I've been taking Levothyroxine for about 10 years. I had blood tests recently and my TSH was 5.78 and T4 was normal at 13. I really don't like taking Levothyroxine. Is there any case that I can stop taking Levothyroxine? Am I subclinical? Many thanks Mika

need ammunition to stop Endo reducing my T3
Hello, this is my second post concerning the fact that my Consultant's Registrar wants to lower my T3 from 10mg but keep me on 54 mcg of Levo as my TSH is supressed. I have no thyroid after it was destroyed with RAI.However his Registrar was abrupt, merely telling me that my T3 must be reduced because
