More advice please on blood tests
Hi again, and further to my last post could someone please advise me on recent blood tests. After appointment with Roseway labs Pharmacist on 23rd April I increased T3 to 10ug daily . Since my previous bloods showed T4 at the top of the range I reduced that from 100ug daily to 100ug 5 days per week

New to the group - looking for some realistic advice on recovery time after loading doses
Hi all. I am new to the group and this delightful condition we all have! Similar story to many, blood tests showing low B12/folate/ferritin (although this hasn't been mentioned at all by my GP). Had 6 x loading doses followed by 5mg folic acid that I'm on for three months. I was told last week that since

Hashimoto's TSH reducing with VitD and potential lactose intolerance
Hi As the title suggests I've got quite a few different areas I want to cover and need to see that I'm actually heading in the right direction, and not going crazy as the NHS are still disregarding everything I say. I helped a long term sufferer today
Got chatting recently to a lady on FB who lives in my town. She happened to mention that she is hypo and been on meds for about 6yrs. Funnily enough she is registered with the same GP Surgery as me. Anyway she was complaining that she was always so tired and achy etc and I asked what dosage she was

Post-private GP update
Evening. A few people asked me to post an update following on from my visit to a private GP today. Well, it certainly wasn’t what I’d expected, which is to say I hadn’t expected much to happen other than another another blood test being needed and possibly a plan of action. What actually happened

Elderly mum exhausted, overweight, unmotivated, yellow tinge skin on sides of face
Hello, I'm really struggling trying to get the GP to sort my mum out. She's nearly 88yrs old and in the last few years has put on an excessive amount of weight, she was a size 12, now she is almost a 20! She is absolutely exhausted, just says she has no energy at all and barely gets dressed each day

sigmapharm T3
Has anyone had any issues with this brand? I only ask as the last few scripts have been sigmapharm 20mcg rather than Mercury, and it’s taken me a few months to work through supplies I had until I’ve been using that exclusively. Meantime I’ve had a random “high” and now feeling very low (as posted recently

Iron, estrogen & RLS
Just wondering if anyone is aware of any connection between iron & estrogen (from an RLS perspective)? I'm a 73 year-old male, and I've had high-ish estrogen levels for at least the last 7 years (42-49; normal level should be below 41). I think there is some correlation between high estrogen and high

Diagnosis
Hi, I'm perimenopausal and my hormone dips have thrown up digestion, hyperosmia, brain fog issues and because of lack of appetite I have become malnourished and very low on ferritin despite trying the super heme from 3 Arrows. I've had some private bloods done. Notable results are:- T3 2.97 T4

ERFA vs Thyroid S
Hi Folks.Would people say that ERFA has higher percentages of T4 and T3 than in Thyroid S generally? I am presuming it's purer as there are less binders, fillers and chemicals in the ERFA. If anyone has switched from Thyroid S to ERFA, any advice on dosing levels (eg. had to increase or decrease, symptoms

T4 Rising
Back in January I was feeling awful, worse than when I was thyrotoxic at the start of all these problems in Sept 2021. In October 2023 I suffered what appeared to be a mild bout of Covid-19 but I seemed to slowly deteriorate from then on with what appeared to be worsening hypothyroid symptoms. These

Blood test timing dilemma: advice please
Can you help me figure out how to get round this one please? The last few times I’ve done blood tests, I’ve followed the process advised here and done the test as early in the morning as possible. However, my endocrinologist had a bit of a hissy fit at this (the timing, not that I waited till after

Really struggling
I have not been able to take thyroxine when I was diagnosed in March 2021, ended up on low FODMAP and with a homeopath and naturopath but went from 9 st 5 to 7 stone 11 when doctors got concerned. Every time I tried to include a food back in diet I was worse. Started thyroxine liquid in September 2023
