Lung symptoms vs eye and nose symptoms
To those who are on "systemic" drugs for allergic asthma, what do you notice in terms of control of your lung symptoms vs control of allergic symptoms in the eyes and the nose? Do the systemic drugs resolve the lungs, nose, and eye symptoms altogether, or do the drugs only work for some, but not for

Changed my consultant
From a few days I am experiencing bronch exacerbation with increased sputum which is dark. This time I decided to go to a different doctor who is also a bronch specialist. He told that I will have to have azithromycin long term; 6-8 months per year. The next thing he did is to change my inhaler from

Very Scary SVT.
I ended up in the ER last night via ambulance because of a sudden heart rate of 198 -- it literally felt like it was beating out of my chest. I was breathless and panicky. I was told it was SVT, which I never had, and was given a drip of various drugs. It went down to 150, then finally six hours later

I don’t think my asthma was properly diagnosed for years. I think I have an atypical type. I was exposed to noxious fumes in 2010, for only a few minutes. I was removing belongings from my late mom’s home after her bedroom floor was sealed against animal odors. The smell was so strong, it was February

New and Saying Hello after COVID
Hello everyone. I'm pretty new so I thought I would say a quick hello. I am here because I got COVID in late October and had a pretty rough time with it. I am still suffering with labored breathing. The challenge is more pulling air into my lungs than breathlessness. During the acute infection,

RASHES WITH RA
Hi, I managed to see the nurse at my GP practice yesterday. I am wondering if any one else on Methotrexate, has vascular dermatitis or vascular eczema on their lower legs and ankles. It comprises of tiny red spots which are very sore and follow the line of the tiny capillaries just under the skin

Symbicort wasn't working...my lungs still feel tightness. Dr. Prescribes Advair 250 discus.
Hi everyone and thank you for reading because I'm a bit at a loss. As my post title says, the doctor prescribed Advair, but the pharmacy gave me Wixela Inhub, fluticasone propionate and salmeterol inhalation powder 250 mcg/ 50 mcg. First of all, is this the same? Anyone here know if these 2 medications

Here we go again... another reaction to a new inhaler to try! Using Spiriva and have eye irritation and needed to see the eye doctor. He put me on an antihistamine eye drop and comfort drops. Seems like I have had a reaction to Advair and now Spiriva. He told me to use the drops for 1 week and see if

Symbicort to Advair Diskus?
I've been on Symbicort 160/4.5 for almost 2 years for asthma. I just got new health insurance and they will only approve Advair Diskus. Should I be worried about it not working as well or getting sick from switching? Does anyone have any experience or advice? Thank you!

Need help understanding living with asthma.
Hi folks, I have been living with asthma for only about a year and a half after having an asthma attack that landed me in ICU for 8 days. I am okay now and have not had any incidents since. But the last year and a half has been problematic and confusing because I am constantly feeling like my airways

Asthma?
I was diagnosed with asthma less than two years ago. I was dealing with a cough that wouldn't go away and wheezing and really having a hard time breathing, even when I wasn't active. I was prescribed advair, singular, cough medicine with antihistamine, and claritin, and or zrytec. It wasn't much help

Lung Issues
I have been diagnosed with Psoriatic arthritis since 2012, I had it long before diagnosis. I wanted to ask if anyone with RA or Psoriatic arthritis have suffered from lung issues. I have reoccurring lung problems from coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath. I have advair inhaler, administer breathing

Spiolto Respimat Users?
Hey ho, any Spiolto / Stiolto Respimat users here? Just got switched off Symbicort to it. Symbicort and Advair both caused awful and intense large muscle cramps (back, abs, thighs), to the point I could not sleep. When I would go off them or reduce them a day or two the cramps go away, only to come

Leg cramp from combination inhaler?
Hi everyone, I'm sorry if this question has already been asked, but I was just put on a combination inhaler for the first time (Advair) since I wasn't responding to a doubled dose of inhaled steroids (and one week of prednisone tablets didn't calm things down either, only when I was on them). I've been

Inhalers
I used Advair (or Symbicort) for 20 years until I finally started getting lung infections. Quit on my own and it cleared up right away. I was using Spiriva also and am now ready to try going without. I am having the eye problems associated with it. These inhalers can be a Godsend for awhile but
