I've been on Symbicort 160/4.5 for almost 2 years for asthma. I just got new health insurance and they will only approve Advair Diskus. Should I be worried about it not working as well or getting sick from switching?
Does anyone have any experience or advice? Thank you!

I did the opposite and switched from Advair to Symbicort. Advair worked great for me for several years. I find that when starting any new drug it can take several months to fully kick in.
HI Nikki. Assume you must be in the US. When I lived in the US, I was moved to Advair - best thing ever, changed my asthma for the better. Now live back in UK and still on Advair - albeit called Seretide in UK.
Yes I am in the US. Thank you for your response. I have awful anxiety and today is the first day taking Advair so my anxiety is through the roof wondering if the medicine will work for me. You helped ease my anxiety so thank you.
