Over fatigue feeling plus tremors on hands

I discusses this with my doctor and he said it’s probably from my meds like advagraf-tacrolimus. I also got the BK virus from the transplanted kidney and my levels are getting higher. Is anyone else experiencing this? Also, I started losing my hair which is depressing as well.

Advagraf

Good morning, Are any of you on 0.5mg of Advagraf and having excellent LFT's? Been told I could, possibly, be off all Advagraf, tac, mid next year!

HV88 Virus

Thankfully copies are low and now on 1mg of Sirolimus to keep copies low Taking 0.5 Advagraf now as LFT's are still excellent and all well within range and the reduction has helped renal numbers dramatically. Anyone living with the HV88 virus?

Uric Acid

May I ask please if anyone who has been on tacrolimus (Advagraf) for a while, has suffered from excess uric acid.

Tacrolimus/Advagraf and Ginger

Has anyone ever had a doctor tell them they cannot have ginger while on Tacrolimus? When you search online for contraindications to Tacrolimus, it lists pomegranates, grapefruit, pomelo, star fruit and ginger. However, the medical information sheet I get from the pharmacy only says to avoid grapefruit

Immune suppressants?

I take 2 mg of Advagraf (slow relase) once a day. Others that i have met on the liver unit that were transplanted around the same time as me, December 2019, or later are prescribed Prograf and Adoport, both slow release. Curious to know why? Many thanks.

Prograf vs advagraf

My doctor mentionned that they might switch me to Advagraf instead of my Prograf. I was wondering if anyone has made the switch and seen a difference in the side effects? Like hair loss and tremors. Thank you and happy holidays! Amy

This Might be Important!

Dear All, I have been 'on' Advagraf (Tacrolimus) since, July 2013, when I had My Transplant. I WAS aware that Grapefruit, and it's Juice, could Affect the Absorption Rate of this Drug.

Post transplant tacrolimus doses

Just curious - husband had liver transplant 2014 and came home on 8mg which was reduced to 5mg and has since been taking the same amount of Advagraf - so 5 years later he is still on 5mg 🤔🤔🤔 his last bloods said it was below target range (4-10 I think) 🤷‍♀️ - has anyone else experienced this ????

I wanted to mention that when in clinic recently my liver pharmicst mentioned to me that they have contacted manafacturers and there will be approximately 6 months of this medication in stock. During and this period negotiations with manafacturers

Lamavudine

Hi, I'm in Liverpool this weekend from London and haven't packed my Lamavudine alongside my Advagraf. Does anyone in the Liverpool area have 3 X 100mg that you could have please? Many thanks.

6 weeks post transplant and all good

Meds - down to 5mg Prednisolone, 900mg Valgaciclovir until end of course, an AdCal and he seems stable on 6mg Advagraf. Nothing compared to the pretransplant pile of pills he had to take and soon it will be just the Tacs and vitamin.

Advagraf dosage

I reduce the dose of advagraf for 9 months after the transplant, but the level of tacrolimus does not decrease. I started with 9mg, but now I use only 5mg. Tacrolimus levels are around 11-12. My doctor recommends that I use only 3mg - is it not too small?

Sirolimus

Leeds are talking about putting me on this as my kidneys are not getting any better on advagraf, but I have heard a few bad things about this medication

Mycophenolate Mofetil–Induced Neutropenic Sepsis

I blamed it on my anti rejection meds Advagraf and MMF, but he wanted it check out. Following blood tests I was quickly diagnosed with Neuropenic Sepsis, where the White Blood Cells are extremely low, and my immune system at serious risk.

7 Months Post Transplant and started to falling to bits....

My new liver is doing great, and although they are keeping me on high advagraf levels (back to level I was on post transplant), everything seems to be going well in that direction.

Concerned or over protective??

However he is not feeling so good - his Advagraf has just been reduced from 8mg to 7mg so not sure if that has had any effect. He feels as though he has a cold, aching all over, diarrhea, itching and covered in a rash. His ankles are also swelling again.
