I reduce the dose of advagraf for 9 months after the transplant, but the level of tacrolimus does not decrease. I started with 9mg, but now I use only 5mg. Tacrolimus levels are around 11-12. My doctor recommends that I use only 3mg - is it not too small?

Advagraf dosage
No it's not to small. My dosage has also wavered I am down to 1mg of Envarsus (tacrolymus) a day from 3mg ( which was down from 5.5 mg). I also have had high dosages in my blood. I had a blood test a month after I started and all good.
My daughter was on prograf , and now change in advagraf , she was on 4 gr on prograf now she needs 10 advagraf. I dont know why? She is 20 years old , 9 months post transplant. About your issue I believe i will go down slowly slowly, if u have reduced it.. wishing u all the best..🙏🏻😘💪🏿
Hi, I am 31/2yrs post op and I started very high dose of tac (13) now on 2.5 am & pm and have been for over a year or more, reviewed every 3 months now and at moment I'm sat at 8.8. Tac reading. My level of tac for me is between 6-8 so specialists happy enough with this ( as I am) Ask renal where you should sit with your tac level and I do know we're all different with regards to medication intake. My Care from renal recipient docs at my hospital is second to none.. Good Luck.
