Tacrolimus/Advagraf and Ginger

Has anyone ever had a doctor tell them they cannot have ginger while on Tacrolimus? When you search online for contraindications to Tacrolimus, it lists pomegranates, grapefruit, pomelo, star fruit and ginger. However, the medical information sheet I get from the pharmacy only says to avoid grapefruit and its juice. I plan on discussing this with my doctor during my next visit since I use fresh ginger in my morning smoothies almost every single day. I’ve had a lot of changes in my tacrolimus dosage since my kidney transplant March 3, now wondering if it is partly due to the ginger.

I think ginger isn't mentioned often because it isn't an ingredient that is consumed by many, or often, or in large amount in the typical western diet. If you take fresh ginger regularly I would definitely check with your team.
