Can the T3 within NDT elevate AM cortisol? And not be best thyroid med for me?
Good Morning. Is it possible that the NDT within the Armour I am taking is elevating my AM cortisol? Looking back my AM cortisol has been up about 3 years on and off. But at the moment I feel shaky inside , very weak quads and hamstrings, very poor energy ,worse than ever. I currently take 1 1/4

Hey lucky me - I now have 2 cancers
Taking two different
ADT
is concerning to me, hence the consult on the orchiectomy. I'm still happy to be alive and now know more doctors than I have friends:-) As always, I appreciate your wise words, input and the occasional insult:-)

Is it OK to start ADT immediately after biopsy or need to wait until after healing?
He has been wanting to start
ADT
soon to treat BCR mets in lymph nodes but has to wait until after biopsy to confirm the suspicious uptake in prostate. The questions are: is it ok to start
ADT
immediately after biopsy or does he have to wait until the prostate recovers/heals from biopsy?

Hormone sensitive after stopping Lupron?
If I stop
ADT
after 30 mo and my Testosterone stays at castrate level for 6mo, is this effectively the same as if I had 36 months of
ADT
?

Question for the Brain Trust, what am I missing!
My RO suggest 18-24 months of
ADT
, HDT Brachy and 5 weeks of beam radiation ( Proton or Photon). He said the results would be the same as doing surgery plus radiation. The Radiation route seems so much less invasive with lower SE. Here is my initial MRI scan results below.

is Xtandi the only drug that increases PSMA expression?
Do we know if any of the other 2nd or 3rd line
ADT
drugs have the same affect? I’m wonder specifically about Nubeqa ( Darolutamide)

Questions about TSH and other test results
In the spring of 2021 I had been having periods of fatigue that would put me in bed for two or three days at a time, and then suddenly things would be better again. This was a repeating pattern. I took this complaint to the doctor and was diagnosed with B12 deficiency. I was initially put on the treatment

Beat Prostate Cancer
I was reading some clinical trial data the other day. To summarize, the treatment being tested did not pass muster. It worked marginally better than standard of care but not well enough to change standard of care. The irony of the study concerned overall survival and progression free survival. The control

useful 'Evidence' that TSH between 0.04 - 0.4 has no increased risk to patients on Levothyroxine (UPDATED~new study does show small risk)
This paper forms part of the evidence base for the current NHS thyroid treatment guidelines , it was referenced as evidence to back up their concerns about "low TSH /overtreatment with levo/ risk to bones and heart" ( so they cannot say it is 'not good enough evidence' when you put it under their

Potential Ophthalmological Side Effects Induced by Anti-Neoplastic Regimens for the Treatment of Genitourinary Cancers: A Review - 07/26/22
In my own case, I seem to remember dry eyes starting prior to my initial
ADT
treatment (Lupron with bicalutamide "bridged" to start of L) in 2017.

Update #6 Clear Decks
Hi all 👋 Continuing on from my previous post here - https://healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk/posts/149372691/update-5-back-to-front I am officially bareback… 😬 but don’t worry, it’s not for long. Phase 1 of the plan now begins! It’s taken me about 5/6 weeks, but I have weaned down slowly from 2.5 grains

MRI negative findings contradict PSMA PET/CT finding of likely disease recurrence within prostate.
Treated with 81 GY EBRT and Firmagon
ADT
. PSA subsequently dropped to nadir (<0.02) in Nov 2019. Since then steady rise to PSA 1.0 in July 2022. PSA doubling time from 0.5 to 1.0 in 7 months, suspicion for recurrence.

Dose increase and RT3
Hello. I have followed along with this site for about a year. I have collected quite a bit of knowledge and so appreciate all that has been shared through this site. I have Hashimoto's (TPO is currently around 300 and I do not have TGab antibodies). Vitamin D, B12 and iron are all looking good. Still

Has anybody noticed a change to Armour at all this year?Just wanting to rule out different possibilities to why I feel worse than usual.
I have had alot of additional tough stressors this year ,but my FT4 and FT3 have dropped despite a gradual dose increase. I am going through the list of possibilities suggested on this forum, but thought I also should ask the question has Armour changed this year, ie perhaps a filler? I understand '
