Are you on ADT? Then read on and let your dry eyes weep - as dry eyes tend to do. Several more SEs that we can add to the list of those from PCa treatments. This is not the only ocular issue you should be aware of, as the following report indicates.

The report profiles the potential eye conditions that can be caused or made worse by cancer treatments in general - and PCa in specific. Having myself suffered from dry eyes and blurry vision prior to having a detached retina (requiring surgery to repair a tear) and cataract surgery on both eyes in 2020, I can attest to the QOL hit that weepy eyes (often caused by dry eyes?) and the cloudy, blurry vision that accompanies cataracts can cause. In my own case, I seem to remember dry eyes starting prior to my initial ADT treatment (Lupron with bicalutamide "bridged" to start of L) in 2017. The dry eyes did get much worse leading up to the three ocular surgeries in 2020 and has noticeably improved since - so in my case it is unreasonable to attribute my visual issues as being specifically related to my very short-term ADT. Nevertheless, due to the possibility of such ADT SEs, it would be a good idea to discuss these potential issues with both your MO and vision specialist (optometrist and ophthalmologist) at your yearly eye exams or appointments to discuss specific vision issues.

In addition to the SOC drug combos in common use, it also comments on possible ocular SEs from PSMA-Theranostics & PARP- inhbitors.

BTW, I have, with this paper, just discovered Cureus. (Cure + US) Their "ABOUT" statement indicates they are 100% open access, so a good one to add to your list of research sources:

"The Open Access medical journal for a new generation of doctors, researchers and patients"

I can see clearly now? Y'all Stay well,

I found that I have to use lubricating drops with my contacts now...also noted eyes drier even without contacts... Isn't ADT grand.???

One of those many gifts of ADT that just keep on giving. Maybe try some 10W40 instead of the drops. Change 'em out every 3,000 blinks or 3 months, whichever comes first. The full synthetics should work better, as they reduce friction better than mineral oils. Also, best results with your eyes really hot when you change out the lub. Good Luck . . . I can almost see clearly now - as I'm waiting for the PSMA hit to dry my eyes once again. Ciao - K9
